My favorite thing about summer is no school (I'm a retired teacher, but I still enjoy the freedom.)

My favorite thing about the summer months is Friday night picnics at the beach. The kids love to swim and play in the sand. I love to watch the sunset and just chill out with our friends.

spending the whole month of July at Priest Lake, Idaho. long days on the deck, drinking summery drinks, reading anything i can get my hands on, scrapping in the evenings, cross-stitching in the mornings, taking walks, swimming, eating out, hanging out with "summer" friends, taking naps, watching lightening storms over the lake, watching kids fish off the dock, reading magazines, enjoying the lake life. :)

Our summer months are really more like summer month (July) because our daughter is in year round school...so for that month, I love the layed back, vacationing, family visiting, busy-ness yet still relaxing feel of it all!

I get back my night owl tendencies and stay up later!

I am an elementary teacher... so my favorite thing is completing the school year with other people's children, so I can spend some quality time with and enjoy my own children! It also allows me the freedom to stay up later scrapping if the mojo is flowin' and being able to slee a bit longer the next day!
