One of my favorite things about summer is the sunshine and warm weather!

Time off to see friends, play with grandkids...

Summer is my brain time. Not my school work's brain time where I'm constantly feeling rushed to finish my degree. No, summer is MY brain time, where I can unleash every bit of creative energy I had to squirrel away for the other nine months of the year.
Summer is also garden time! I get to have my fresh herbs and flowers on my tiny apartment porch, with fresh basil and mint to my heart's content.
While I'm still working, even that seems to lighten up in the summer. It's all about renewal and fresh creativity. While it's sweltering in the Texas heat, I'm enjoying my freedom.

I'm a teacher, and so is my husband. My favorite thing about the summer months is just simply spending more time with him. We have a lot of fun.

The best thing for me about summer is spending time with my whole family at our beach house. Our house is old but it has the best memories in it. My son and my brother and sisters children are the fourth generation to be going there. All 12 of us fit! It can be a bit squashy at times but we always have wonderful memories down there.

Oh my, the lemonade kit is totally my style. I love it. My favorite thing about the summer months is that all of the busyness of the school year commitments is over and we can spend time together in the evenings most nights of the week. In addition to that, I love the longer days.

Summer is a great time to be a New Englander! Festivals, beaches, mountains, fresh seafood, ice cream...I am looking forward to all of it!

I am looking forward to going to the beach, wearing no socks, walking out the door with no coat, and having a great excuse to be lazy....it is too hot!

I love that I have my summers off from work since I am a teacher and have time to play with my kids and scrapbook and garden and clean my house etc. 17 school days left!

I just love finally being able to be out in the sunshine! Our winters here in northern NY last from Oct through April, so the summer is a nice change from snow! :)

Everyone seems happier in the summer - I like that it brings out the smiles in people!

I love spending time with my kids and going to the beach :)

Many visits to the Park and many visits to the Beach.
Many barbecues in the backyard and many scoops of ice cream!
My kids and dog love being outdoors and what can be a better time than summer.

From where I live summer days are really schorching hot so we love to cool down by treating ourselves with some ice cream or fresh fruit shakes. A day at the beach is also very much enjoyed.

I love the longer days... more daylight!! But I have to admit, I live in the South, so I prefer any season, but summer... lower temps!
