My best piece of advice is that there is no "right" way to scrapbook! What's important is that you tell your story, in the best way you know how and whatever way works for you. That is the best legacy you can leave!

Add tags to all your digitally stored photos for quick searching down the road when you want to find a particular photo!

Keep it simple and scrapbook for you. There are so many products and supplies out there. Start small and do what makes you happy. There is definitely no right or wrong.

It takes a while to find your own style. The more you scrapbook, the easier (less stressful) it becomes. It's the words and the photos that will help you remember and feel blessed.

Just start ... getting it down is more important than getting it "right."

Hmm...my advice is that if you have older things you want done, try some current stuff too. It it easier to remember and there's less pressure from having to do this "important" project right.

Just to relax and enjoy the whole process. It isn't about the products, its about the pictures & the stories. That's what you'll want to remember when you look back on your albums - not what company the products came from.

Holy Cow those are great giveaways!!! I would tell a newbie to just jump in and scrap from here on out. I didn't scrap for a while concerned that I hadn't done my kids baby albums and didn't scrap for 2 years because I was overwhelmed. It's supposed to be a hobby not a job!!!

I wish someone would have told me you don't have to scrap EVERY photo, only your FAVORITES, and that you don't have to scrap chronologically.

I so wish someone had told me how addicting product can be but once you start creating you find that there are certain products you always rely on and you don't need all the "stuff"! The shopping is fun but the creating is much more rewarding :-)

My best advice is to enjoy the process and do not get caught up in thinking you have to be as good as _____.
Do it for you and your family and loved ones. Most importantly JOURNAL!!! It will mean so much more to your loved ones to be able to read the story behind the photos and to be able to know who the people are in the pictures.

My advice would be not to feel behind. Start with today and scrap what is going on with your life now. Then make connections with other times of your life and your families life. Enjoy the process and the outcome.

Take lots of pictures and then journal about them and your everyday life then it's all there when you need it.

My best advice for a new scrapbooker is not to purchase too many supplies until you get a feel for what will work for you. If you have friends who are getting you into this hobby, try out their supplies, ask around to see what works for others. You'll end up saving a lot of money by not buying anything and everything because you think you'll need it at some point.

Getting a page done is a success. Don't measure how well you scrapbook by how many pages your friends complete in the same amount of time. A completed page is success!

My advice would be to just play & get your feet wet - determine what works for you - hybrid, paper, or digital - and once you feel comfortable, make a list of pages that are the most important to you/your family. I have a few pages (like the birth of my children) that I would be really bummed if I got hit by a truck tomorrow and I never did it. And getting those really momentous occasions scrapbooked made me feel so great, because that's what scrapbooking is to me - creating a vehicle that I and my family can use to remember our life events in detail.
That, and there are no grades given on your work :)

Well besides being careful to not buy every cute thing you see and getting overwhellmed :) i'd say to just let your natural creativity flow. It's easy to get caught up in thinking everyone elses pages are better than yours and that you need to scrap a certain way for your stuff to be good. So not true.

I love photography, it would be wonderful to win the kit.
is important to take into account important elements such as inspiration, our supplies and history. there are times when we must break the rules and monotomia to make things interesting .. treat is be yourself... is my advaice
