We meet up at my old high school and watch fireworks on the third of July. Its the one time of year that i get to catch up with all of my old friends. Unfortuanatly I think they are tearing it down after this years event.

We like to charge up all the kids battery powered cars, motorcycles and jeeps and let them drive all over the cul-de-sac while we watch them and barbeque for our dinner under the stars.

Sleeping in late is a big tradition. And the occasional ice cream from the ice cream man. Just hearing the jingle of his bells gets the family excited! Ridiculous really because you could buy 2 boxes of popsicles for the price of the 4 we buy from him. LOL!!

Summer means visits to the local farms for fresh fruit and vegetables. It is part of my Saturday morning routine, before the grocery (so I pack a cooler with ice packs). We eat fresh, real food, and help the local economy :)

4th of July parade. The kids decorate their bikes and ride down main street, just like I did when I was a kid. Fun!
