Taking my great niece and great nephew to the park to see the flag display. I always take their pic standing next to my fathers flag. It never fails to make me very emotional.

Our local fair always falls on my daughter's birthday week--so we always take her as part of the celebration.

Our families summer tradition is going to my husbands grandparents home on Lake Erie over the July 4th Holiday. I can't begin to tell you the memories that have been made there. My girls are so very fortunate to have "great-grandparents" in their lives and spending time with them is truly a blessing to be cherished for a lifetime.

Something very simple yet fun-going to the Farmer's Market to buy/meet locally grown produce.

4th of July at the cabin. My husbands' great uncle plays the accordion and we all swat mosquitos and deerflies. Really, it IS fun! ;D

We head to my in-laws cabin in northern Wisconsin for the fourth, where our tradition is to decorate the pontoon boat in red, white, and blue, and participate in the annual boat parade on the lake.

Every year at least once, we drive from our lakehouse to South Haven, MI and stop to pick blueberries. I think sometimes more blueberries go into the mouth than the bucket...but they expect that and put that into the price! (have to test them you know).

Favorite summer tradition...don't really have one yet, but one thing we look forward to when warm weather hits is the opening of Ritas Italian Ice. Delicious. And of course, the fireworks. =)

I am from Pittsburgh, Pa. My girls and I love to spend the weekend there and go to Kennywood Park(the amuzement park). We meet my sister there, who drives from Virginia. It's a girls's weekend. This will be our 5 year doing Kennywood!

Ok - we are going to the beach in 2 weeks (12 days to be exact) - which has been a summer tradition since I was about 3 years old when my Pop bought my Mom a timeshare so that his grandkids would always have a vacation...

My family's favorite summer tradition is enjoying soft ice cream from the neighborhood stand. It's only open from May - Labor Day and definitely a treat!

Our favorite summer traditions are having picnic lunches in our backyard and enjoying popsicles on the front steps after dinner. These times always evoke the best conversations with my children. I will cherish the memories we have made forever!

Every 4th of July - our group of about 30 friends gather at one person's house - go down to the local parade, then regather in the late afternoon for a bbq and we all sit on the lawn of the golf course and watch the fire works. I would not miss it for the world.
