Watching the July 4th fireworks from our front yard. The town shoots them off from the high school football field, which is close enough that we can hear the games in the fall.

For us summer means bonfires and smores in the back yard. There is nothing better than a summer evening with friends around the campfire.

Hands down an ice cold beer in the evening, the smell of the sea in the air, sand on my feet and soggy wet hugs from sea soaked children. It's winter here, can't wait for summer. Enjoy yours!!

Knowing that I wake up early, my son will leave a note on my laptop saying "wake me for breakfast". That is my clue to make muffins, ride our bikes to the beach, and sit on our bench talking about our day. He's 14 and not sure how many more summers this will happen:(

Our tradition is sitting outside during the evening, with an icy cold drink, and enjoying the last bit of sunshine of the day.

Eating watermelon on the beach. We only live a few miles from the beach, so we do this a lot in summer! Yummo!
