Our summer can be summed up with the 3 S's: Slip n' Slide, Smoothies, and Sparklers!

We have a progressive garden dinner with friends. We've done this for ten years. Everyone tries new recipes and sets a gorgeous table in the garden. It's tonight and the weather is good, my table is planned and I have all my supplies for cooking today. Can't wait for tonight! It's here.

Our summer tradition is a week at the beach in North Carolina, where we do all the traditional beach activities and have Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast. Since we don't eat donuts much during the rest of the year, it is a real treat. Donuts and coffee with the sound of the ocean, aaaahhhh.

One of my favorite summer traditions is going to the 4th of July parade with my family. We walk to the parade (a block from our home) and take doughnuts and coffee to eat as we wait for its arrival.

My favorite summer tradition is playing golf with my brother and his wife for his birthday every August. Sometimes it's really hot and we sweat like crazy and sometimes it is medium hot, but we ALWAYS have an awesome time and take lots of photos! Thanks for the chance to win!

My favourite tradition in summer is a new one... We have started to pick up seashells with our two year old daughter... hopefully, we'll do this for many years to come, and next summer, with our newborn.

We do a lot of camping all summer, and a great tradition that I look forward to is coffee in the morning with our friends we are there with. We sit and sip coffee and tell secrets, talk politics, watch the kids play, and usually have oatmeal cookies.

The Friday after July fourth is always the local Fireman's Parade in a nearby town. We gather with a few groups of friends and watch a parade of fire and rescue vehicles as they tour through the town. Most towns in our area have volunteer rescue departments and the volunteers come from all over to participate. The kids love seeing the fire engines and getting the candy thrown out of the engines.

My favorite summer tradition is hanging out at my best friend's parents' house on the lake. We have been doing this since we were middle schoolers, tanning ourselves silly and spraying mass quantities of "Sun In" in our hair. Now we are adults and our group has expanded to include children and husbands. What a blessing to have such a close, amazing group of friends.
