Our favorite summer tradition is going to the Saturday AM Farmers Market with the kids. I love to expose them to the sights and sounds, as well as some of the traditions of some of the bakers at the farm. As well our family likes to show them that it is important to support the local farmers.

We have three teenagers in our home and our favorite summertime tradition is late night swims in the pool. With only the colored pool lights illuminated, our night swims are amazing.

The vegetable garden. I love the fresh veggies we have from our own garden in the summer. Organic and grown with our own hands and zero miles on them!

One our family traditions for the summer is a big shindig on 4th of July. We have family and friends over to grill out, play games and set off fireworks. 4th of July is my favorite holiday!

Wow what great giveaway stuff! One of my favorite summer traditions is spending 4th of July all day at our local park. We pack a lunch, play on the playground equipment all day, listen to the local orchestra play at night which is followed by the fireworks..Always a great day for us!

My favorite summer tradition is the trek to the State Fair...it also marks the end of summer, but it's always a good time.

Every Labour Day we have a family picnic and my Mother-in-law does a Candy Scramble in a pile of hay for the kids. They love it and get itchy all over for their efforts!

I'm just starting to create summer traditions with my girls (they're 2), but I really like taking them to the farmer's market. We talk about the food we see, buy it from the people who grew it, and make a meal around it when we get home. I just love all the summer produce, and love that my girls do, too!

My kids want to spend every free minute in the water, so our summer tradition is to go swimming (pool or lake) basically every day.
