It's a new one---the boys MUST have those cheap, corner-of-your-mouth-scratchy plastic popsicles during slip-n-slide time. Popsicles+slip-n-slide action = :) boys!

We have the BEST 4th of July festival and parade right in the middle of town. I swear it is right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. I would have to be near death to miss it!!

Taking my kids to our family church camp that I grew up going to. It is a week long time of fun and relaxation, and time to catch up with old friends and renew my spirit.

My favorite summer tradition is taking my boys to pick blueberries! We love to freeze them and then eat them as treats to cool down!

Summer wasn't summer without my Mum's potato salad. It had everything in it and I could eat it all day!
(For those interested: potato, tomato, cheese, celery, apple, egg, carrot. You can also add anything else you want!)

Our favorite summer tradition is getting an ice cream cone at Kilwin's and walking around downtown looking at the sculptures, our downtown picks a theme each year, ex: boats, bears, this year is zoo animals, then local artists paint them and put them downtown in front of the stores.

My best friends from high school reunite, get coffee at a local coffee shop and then head to a hill above a reservoir in our hometown. We sit up there, look at the stars and talk for hours! We've been doing that since high school and its still wonderful to sit up there, even after 10 years!

One of our summer traditions is for my husband to smoke a pork shoulder and ribs and invite friends over for some good old fashioned Memphis barbeque! I can smell the smoker now! YUM!
