My husband & I greatly enjoy our annual summer camping/canoe trip, we get a bunch of our friends together and make a weekend of it. It's the one time of year that we really just get to act like kids ourselves, and what with our second child on the way, we need that. It lets us reconnect to each other and to the people around us.

My favorite summer tradition is enjoying the weather! Living in Wisconsin, winter tends to hand on too long... so when summer comes, we are out side...

Love to watch the grands playing in water. Doesn't matter if it is the tub, slip n slid, hose or the pool. They make it look like the best fun in all the world.

Definitely Christmas in July...Coming this week, July 1st. We are making the house super cold, playing Christmas music, baking cookies and doing Christmas crafts. I can't wait.

Our summer traditions have changed from year to year with our children growing and changing, but we always look forward to our vacation in Door County, WI. Many cookouts, bonfires, beach and family time. Can't afford it this year, as my daughter is starting college this year! This is a wonderful thing, so no complaining - just a year to start some new "stay at home" traditions!!

My fav. summer tradition is so the 4th of July. The look on my son's face as the firewoks light up his face is amazing. I miss a lot of the fireworks watching his expressions.

my favorite: taking a walk after diner on MOnday evenings, although the week of work has started again, in summer it still feels like Sunday!

My favorite Summer tradition is sitting on our front porch with my family, eating ice cream cones and watching the sunset! Ahhhhh, gotta love Summer : )

Growing up, on a hot night, we'd all have ice cream cones on the back porch. The dog would go from person to person, waiting until they were at the bottom of the cone, and get the last bite.
