Campouts on the trampoline! My kids love camping and the trampoline- what better way to combine the two?! We also love the lazy days and staying up a little later. And otter pops!

We spend the fourth of July in Myrtle Beach with my in-laws...enjoy time at the beach and watch the fireworks all along the beach. It is marvelous.

Fresh fruits & veggies. Grilling out. Spending lots of time in the pool and enjoying the outdoors with friends & family.

Our fav tradition is picking as many sour cherries off our tree as possible to save, freeze and make pies with. We picked a ton last week and another huge bucket today!! I will be making some pie tomorrow, YUM!

I'm hoping that we will start a new summer tradition watching the 4th of July fireworks from our yard with our boys. Last year they were infants so hopefully this year they will enjoy them. :)

Going to the beach!

After vacationing in the Caribbean 2 yrs ago we realized we really enjoyed relaxing in the sun, eating and drinking and just having fun. We made firm plans to start to use our deck outback more and soon had the first of many 'deck days'.
Being married 7 yrs this August, we are still beginning to make traditions together. Deck day is great. It always includes a special drink, food, reading materials, and our spouse.

Our summer tradition is to do a bring your own beef bbq in our friends backyard...we eat, we swim and then we all trek out to the Canada Day firworks display with our kids and spouses....we return home with the happy feeling that only comes from spending time with good friends.

Favorite summer tradition: definitely eating more ice cream! the ice cream truck, going out for ice cream, making our own ice cream, ice cream cake... love it!

Outdoor game nights and making Sour Cream Raspberry Ice Cream!

My favorite summer tradition is our annual summer adventure that we go on every year. Every summer, my husband, son and I pick a place we want to visit in our home state of Michigan, or another surrounding state, and we just take off for a long weekend, totally spontaneously. We don't really plan too far ahead, we just wait until the timing is right and pick the place we're going to visit right before we leave. This past year we went to Muskegon, MI to visit Lake Michigan and a family amusement park, Michigan Adventure. I look forward to these trips every summer! = )

Letting go and moving on is a recurring theme for me right now. This includes the physical stuff around me and I find with each thing I let go I become lighter, more free in spirit. By fall, I hope to have rid myself of the physical and emotional stuff weighing me down so I can move on to a new, more exciting chapter of my life as I return to school.

My favorite summer tradition is breaking out the kiddie pool for my toddler and having pop ice while we're drying off afterwards!

Each summer for work we have our annual camp for our families. It is a wonderful time for them to spend time together.

My family always looks forward to going to the Dairy Queen after the fireworks on the fourth of July!
