My new camera stopped working yesterday! Fortunately, it is still under warranty. So although I have many favorite photos of my houseful of little ones, my current photos are locked away for now...

My most recent favorite photo is a snapshot of my nephew on his 2 year birthday that I happened to capture on my cell phone... too cute & he is looking at the camera for once, semi posed.

My girls that are growing way to fast. Don't usually convert to black and white but they were both wearing colorful, clashing pj's. Love the closeness of their faces and the light.

This picture is of my husband flying a kite that he and our daughter made for the Father-Daughter Kite Flying event. They were the only ones that made their kite from scratch and it was the only one that wouldn't stay in the air! Oops.....it's the process that was important!

I just looked over some pictures yesterday and found one of my daughters holding hands (4 and 2 years). I was behind them so they didn't know I was taking the picture. My older daughter is such a good big sister, always protecting her and watching out for her.

I'm loving the one we took recently after planting our first garden - the little green plants next to my 1 year old's sweet chubby ankles sticking out of her tiny pink crocs :)

my favorite isn't of my family, but instead is of a family who we are friends with. A local photographer is part of a national group of photographers who have offered to take family shots of families with a member who is getting ready to deploy. My husband is in the Army, we live on a military base, and several friends have been able to take advantage of this act of kindness.

Hi Ali. Thanks for introducing me to the photography of Susannah Conway...it's gorgeous! My favorite photo is a triptych I recently did of my soon-to-be 16 year old daughter. I can't believe how fast the years fly by (it really does happen in the blink of an eye)!

I took my new favorite photo back in March... I caught my three guys goofing around and it is written all over their faces that they were nabbed. Loved that I captured this fleeting moment.

Yesterday, a fawn was hiding in the field next door waiting for her mother to return. She was "calling" for her most of the day and my daughter spotted her in the grass. Later that evening, she came out of the tall grass to the fence and got nose to nose with our dog. Unbelievable!! She was soo tiny and beautiful. Her mother dutifully returned at dusk.

My favorite recent photo is of my daughter and her BFF at my moms house in Prescott. I'm finally shooting with a DSLR and Maggie Holmes' course has taught me to shoot in manual mode. Imagine that! The reason I luv the photo is the great Boca I'm now able to achieve. They are sitting on bar stools and all of the distracting background has a nice soft blur and their sweet little faces are clear and well lit.
