I've been messing around with sun flares recently. I love the natural look of it. I took one on a recent camping trip with the kids YMCA group and I love the burst over the trees and casting a beautiful light and glow.

I was recently looking at photos from our wedding last year, we didn't have a professional photographer, but friends & family all took plenty. So much fun and emotion in those shots. I'm finaly ready to begin a photo book from shutterfly with them.

Every year my mom, sister and I find a bench and we take tons of self portraits. Most of them are of us laughing our heads off or shots of our heads or faces. They are absolutely some of my favorite shots!! And what a wonderful time we have making those beautiful pictures!

One of my favourite photo's (which isn't so recent - it's from last July) is of my husband and two young sons running down a sand dune in Northern Ireland. The look on their faces of sheer enjoyment is fantastic. We have talked about the great time we had that day lots and are looking forward to going back there again this July. It's also my husbands favourite photo and I included it in a mini book I made for him for Fathers Day today. You can see it here...http://halfacupofcoffee.typepad.co.uk/.a/6a00d8341d414653ef00e5543935148834-pi and half way down this blog post http://halfacupofcoffee.typepad.co.uk/half_a_cup_of_coffee/2008/08/summer-fun.html

My most recent favorite picture was one I took on Wednesday of my daughter and two neices. With summer here, I am finding things for us to do that don't always involve money. We went to the library Wednesday and they enjoyed picking out their books. They were so quiet during the drive home. I turned around and saw each of them reading. When I stopped at a red light, I grabbed my camera and snapped a pic and it was perfect. Each of them engaged in their own book!!! MAGIC!!!!

My favorite recent photo is one I took of my two year old son. He has became quite a little escape artist and I took pictures of him climbing out of his crib. Right before he did it he was leaning over with the cutest little smirk on his face. I love it!

I took a picture of my DD (3yo) lounging on the couch with her legs crossed chatting on the phone with her Nanny. She looks like such a little teen with attitude. It cracks me up.

My favorite photo is the photo of my family (mom, dad, brother and me) in front of the Eiffeltower in Paris. We went on a trip to Paris for a week in celebration of my parents 40th wedding aniversary. Even though I live in Europe and have traveled the world, this was my first time in Paris. I feel blessed to have been able to share this with my family.

I took a picture of my husband eating the first tomato from his tomato plant. He looks delighted, excited and content while savoring the delicious taste.

I have several favorite photos.
One is of my oldest son in front of my aunt's barn/shed at her country home in Georgia. I love the rustic wood siding behind him and I can really see my son's personality in the photo... his essence really.
Another favorite photo is of my second son standing in the woods in Tennessee holding a large stick. The expression on his face and the lighting combined with composition really help capture him on that day.
Another is of the highway I live off of. I love it because the trees have grown over the road creating a natural tunnel and because I was told that it was impossible to capture the shot from my truck while moving. Well I did and I love the shot!

My favorite recent photo was taken on the last day of school. I had all three of my boys sitting on the front porch. I didn't pose them and just told them to act natural and the photo really captured who they are at this point in their live.

I captured some great pictures yesterday, that I still have on the camera, of my kids making silly faces. It's very "them" right now!

My most favorite photo of the moment is the second photo down in my June 6th post of my blog. I love how it shows how happy my son Gunnar is. He turns 6 months today and has a definate zest for life that was captured in his smile. He was sitting on the floor plaing with his toys and I just happend to sanp a few pictures while I was trying to make him laugh. It is hard because he is infatuated with my camera so I cannot look through it I have to catch his attention with a funny face so these photos were kinda luck. I am definately blessed to be his mother.

My most recent favorite photos is of my husband and 3 year old son. My husband helped my son catch an enormous grasshopper. I think the photo captures the trust he has in his dad. My husband is holding the insect with his fingers as my son is gingerly reaching out toward the grasshopper.

My husband loves his little girls....they are sweet, sassy and even rugged...they don't mind getting dirty and playing with bugs.....slugs are even interesting, as long as they don't have to touch them! I found this photo my husband took the other day.....I feel it captures the true essence our our girls!!
