My favorite summer memory was attending camp. I just loved it, sing, bonfires, smores, everything about it was just awesome.

Oops! Forgot the memory part...well...always loved Dad's 2-week shutdown of work when we'd go camping in our pop up at Otsego Lake. I wish my hubs liked camping :(

My favorite summer memory is playing on the slip and slide in our backyard. We had a great little hill that was perfect to slide down on.

My fav summer childhood memory would have to be when we would go visit our friends at their "farm" and underground house. It was always such an adventure to visit them and we went every Summer - so fun! They had goats and tons of kids (baby goats) that time of year and they would greet us the minute we stepped out of our car. We got to help milk the goats, harvest fresh vegetables from their huge garden, swim in the lake, enjoy time in their cool underground house and of course lots of running all over the big fields - it was wonderful - memories I'll never forget. :) Thanks for the great give-away!

I remember swinging for hours on a rope swing tied to a tree near our house. Such simple pleasures.

Favorite summer memories are spending time with my grandparents. The day after school was out my mom would put me on a greyhound bus up to Duluth MN. Where my grandparents would meet me for the 2 hour ride to Virginia. Homemade biscuit bread baking in the oven. A typical small town that once were prominent across this county but have been replaced by fast food chains and malls. I miss my grand parents but luckily have very vivid memories of lazy summers there.

Summers camping out on the beach in Mexico - all day in the waves, evening were about shrimp in tortillas, fires on the beach and sleeping under the stars. My parents were both from Ohio and were so brave to just head down there without any experience, they taught us all to go for it! Thanks Mom and Dad!

My favorite memory is getting together with my 2 friends on someone's front lawn. We would bring all of our Barbies and their clothes and trade them with each other. We would play with each other's dolls for a while and then do it all over again.

Favorite childhood memory - FAMILY ROAD TRIPS to Disneyland (from Washington State), and we would always hit Reno on the way back for mom & dad! But my husband & I just started a new memory with my 6 month old daughter - our little family had our first road trip to Bend, OR.

Outdoor movies at the drive-in theater. We took the kids to a free showing of The Princess Bride at the park recently and it was a great reminder of this fun summer activity.

One of my favorite summer memories from my childhood is helping my "Granny" in her huge garden in Texas. Even though we now live in the city in Chicago, I plant a small backyard vegetable garden each year in honor of my grandmother. I just picked the first of the squash today!
