a friend of mine has started an AIDS-orphan-projekt in Nakuru/Kenia. he raised funds for a house, food, education for about 10 kids which lost their parent of AIDS. They rented the house and are trying now to find enough money for buying and for place for more children (and being indipendent from the government, politics, ...)
if someone want's to help:

(it's in german, but if you write an email, it will be answered in english)
(he just came back on friday doing 10000km by bike for charity!!!)

My favorite charity is the LOGAN Center. They provide services for people with developmental disabilities of all ages and ranges. Among many other services, they provide day services to adults and even have several group homes that they own and staff. They are a truly great asset to our community!
