Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

There are some incredible people in the world who just help without a second thought. My dream would be to work for a non-profit organization where I would learn to live with less and not be driven by commercialism! My favourite charity is breast cancer research and multiple sclerosis research. Both diseases have affected my grandmothers and I would like to see these diseases cured! THank you Ali for being an advocate of charities and helping others.

My worst fear is that anything could happen to my children, especially an illness. We give to St. Jude's, to support the families who are going through so much, and hope we never have to need St. Jude's support! www.StJude.org

I don't know that I really have a FAVORITE charity. I think there are a lot of really fantastic opportunities to help out there and there are a lot of great organizations, both big and small doing so much! I love that! One that I really love is the ASPCA.

I tithe to the church I attend, and after that I like the Heifer Project. It makes so much sense to give livestock to villages, who can then feed people on an ongoing basis.
My other favorite is Focus on the Family, I have benefited so much from their books and radio programs over the years while negotiating long, wonderful road of parenthood. My parents did too!

Hi Ali, that apron overlay is adorable. My mom as well as every grandparent has passed away due to cancer, so any charity dedicated to cancer research always has my heart.

A family friend passed recently from cancer. Through her I was introduced to a wonderful web service called 'Caring Bridge'. They are a charitable organization that keep people connected during illness and treatment.

My youngest daughter was born into heaven on December 3, 2004. I wish I could have known her as a person. I remember her kicks and moves in my tummy. Her 5th birthday is approaching. I miss her as much today as the day we lost her. Days do get easier, but the pain doesn't go away. There is a charity that puts berreved parents in touch with professional photographers that take beautiful pictures of infants that have gone to heaven too soon. Also infants that will go soon. It is incredibly horrible that babies have to die. I just don't understand why my sweet Elizabeth was taken from us.
My favorite charity is the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation. This foundation puts photographers in touch with hospitals and parents. here is the link to their website. http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/home/
The images are babies that have passed on. Please view with caution.

One of my favorite charities is the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation www.nilmdts.org.
The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation gently provides a helping hand and a healing heart for families who have lost a baby. For families overcome by grief and pain, the idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization.
