Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

My fave charity is Whiskers, Tails, and Ferals of Napa Valley, http://www.whiskerstailsandferals.org/. It is an animal rescue site that is fiercely devoted to making a significant impact on the tragedy of pet overpopulation in the Napa Valley. We adopted two kittens from them a few years ago. The kittens had been orphaned at only a few day's old and were hand-raised by the volunteers at this organization. They are two of the most loving and fun kitties we've ever had!

I don't have a favorite-I usually just donate to charities that tug at my heart. I grew up with little money, and my mom often did Toys for Tots for me and my sister. So, in a way to say thanks to them, I always donate during the holidays. I am also think the mission at St. Judes is very important. I try to donate to them during their yearly campain.
I love Amy Butler-she is my favorite fabric designer-I just started figuring out my sewing machine, and am so excited to get to a point that I feel I can make beautiful things like these. So, in the mean time, would love to win something! And I will have to check out her site-what a great cause!

My favorite charity is Spirit Jump. Participants sign up to receive names of people who would like a "jump" in their spirits while battling cancer and people can send a card or something that they think the person would like. It's just a really nice, simple thing to be able to do for a complete stranger who is going through a tough time.
Thanks so much Ali! What a great question! :-)
