I was inspired for a scrapbook page yesterday by a hotel room key that my husband brought home from a trip. It had a very clean design and unusual colors. It's fun to have your creative flow by seeing everyday objects.

My daughter Brianne is an inspiration to me because of her dedication to her students (many have learning disabilities) and her dedication to developing a healthy "green" lifestyle. She did not start running until a few years ago when she was in her late twenties and has finally faced some dependency issues that have been with her since she was in her teens. On Aug. 15 I will be cheering for her as she runs in the Pikes Peak Ascent Run. You go girl!

For me learning how to sew pillows has opened up a whole new inspiring world to me. I do a lot of craft projects but never have sewn despite my mother's best efforts. :)

The work of early 20th century photographers. I have been listening to free podcasts by Jeff Curto (Instructor at the College of Dupage)History of Photography. (http://photohistory.jeffcurto.com/) And looking through books of the works of early photographers. Walker Evans, Pete Wettach, Dorothea Lange and other FSA photographers. Their photographs inspire me to think about the pictures I take, what the purpose is, how to document the idea. All along trying to get a better understanding of how to use my new camera.

This might sound weird, but lately I've been really inspired by ME! I am training for a half marathon... something I NEVER would have believed I could do not long ago... and with each day, I'm getting stronger and faster and closer to that goal. It's very motivating :)
Also, I'm inspired by my parents. They're going through some tough things right now, but man, they are fighters! Love them!!!
