I recently joined the Yesterday & Today class. I hinted to my hubby that I wanted it as an early Christmas present & he told me to just do it for me. How wonderful is that?!?

Right now I am reading your blog...that's just for me. My computer time in my bed before I fall asleep. I browse my favorite blogs and pour over the new ideas and inspirations...oh...and I am watching my Iowa Hawkeyes beat Michigan...go Hawks!

Like undonegirl's post above, it's hard for me to find something I do just for myself. I have started, however (and this feels so good), to shower at night. This leaves me more time in the morning, and I can take my time showering in the evening (I can use as much hot water as I like, and no one needs me anywhere); it's very relaxing!
Thanks, Ali!

Yesterday afternoon I emailed a friend - title: TGIF, text - pedi? drinks? Well, we did both. Not at the smae time although wethink THAT would be a fab idea - pedi while sipping wine of a cocktail! Anyhow, after our pedis we went to a local watering hoel where we sat and chatted and ate and sipped wine for over five hours, her hubby joined us after about four hours. Very self-indulgent but wonderful and very needed!

i started a thursday night happy hour group - there is a really nice steakhouse nearby with a great happy hour. whoever can go shows up each thursday. and the barback is my cutie pie little brother. it's been really fun to connect with friends and family, and it just takes an hour or two a week! i can still get home early enough to put my little guy in bed for the night.

I fell asleep on the couch at 8:30 last night and slept until 8:20 this morning--that's right, I slept for almost 12 hours! After dealing with two kids all week while hubby was on a business trip I guess I was wiped out!

I agree with some of the other posters. A simple toffee nut latte was my simple gift to myself last week. I even sat quietly in the car, listening to my station and enjoyed it did I say quietly already :)

Just for me? I signed up for water aerobics classes at the Y. I put the kids in daycare where they play their little hearts out and then I get in the water and work my butt off (literally LOL) for an hour. Three days a week. It's not easy, but it's ME time, it's get healthy time and in the long run, it's worth it!
