I have been meeting a friend for a hilly walk rather than coffee, good for us to get out and exercise. We do it at least once a week.

I sat in the warmth of what might be the last of the fall sunshine and read a book - and not a school book.

When my husband is at work on a late shift, and once the children are in bed I treat myself to an "early night" . I'm in bed by 20.30hrs after a bath and a nice glass of wine, and its even better now the evenings are darker. Yo can't beat waking up at say 22.30 and feeling like you've been asleep ages, but there are still hours to go til the morning.

My birthday was Thursday. I took Thursday and Friday off from both jobs so I could do what I wanted for a change.
:)
And I loved every second of it!

Hi Ali,
I decided that I deserved a pedicure last week.... just for me. I felt guilty while I sat there soaking my toes and reading gossip magazines, but it was wonderful too. I know I work hard, it has been a year since my last one and now my summer callouses are gone! Hooray!

I've just started running again. There's a lot of work to do before I'll be going any distance but I'm looking forward to it.

I have taken up weekly German classes - I want to improve my conversational German. It's such a joy to study just for me - not for any qualifications, just for the fun of it! :-)

Thank you SO much for "introducing" me to Gina. I have spent the last 24 hours reading through her blog archives and being so inspired.
Just for me? I discovered I have anemia and now that I KNOW feeling not-so-good is actually something medical I am letting myself take it VERY easy. I am doing lots of sleeping, lots of good eating, lots of reading, lots of relaxing with my daughter, lots of PLAYING as opposed to working. My energy is slowly coming back. The benefits of being "good" to myself has been quite a discovery.
