Today I am thankful for a peaceful sendoff for Simon to school, a happy 9 month old baby who's presence helped her brother start his day off in a loving way, a safe flight for Chris on his latest adventure, and right this moment a settled & quiet home.
I second that exactly! We always have "issues" on a day after a day off of school. We love a Friday off, but Wednesday is hard. I told my son, "don't forget school tomorrow." His reply, "No, Austin Sick!". He's a lover of being home. He is lucky to have a little sister to help him along!
Thank you for your post today. We are having one of "those" days in our house today. A chaotic zoo. Your post reminded me to take a breath, let go of the expectations I seem to always have for my day, and take in the little moments.
Such a precious image of baby Anna taking in the morning :-) I post a Thankful {things I love} Thursday each week on my blog & it really does put things into perspective ♥
I LOVE this thankful idea. Too many days go past when I don't stop and think about all the little good things I am ever so thankful for...which includes this blog. Thanks Ali!
Love the photo and thank you for your artical in my recent CK "looking back moving forward" it has really helped me in relation to the creation of my daugher's 1st year album and that it is ok to look back and use similar/same ideas from my son's album. Also thank you for your "gentle reminder" re getting myself into my photos as I was only thinking that I needed more picutres of me and my kids while reading the page prior to this one. Take Care Trina
As a UK mummy all you hear and read in the news is the recession misery, all you see when you look out of the window is rain and more rain...but when I look at my 10 month old daughter Nevie-Rose all I see is happiness and peace! I think we should all take 5 minutes from our day to stand back and watch our children...and remind ourselves how lucky we are!Thank you for sharing Ali. x
Love this picture Ali. Love how you always capture your kids in every day moments. I have to ask.. what is your philosophy on pictures like this... with digital these days, we take soo many more pictures. And i wish I could scrapbook them all, but I simply don't have time to scrap even 10% of what I take! Do you have any thoughts on how to keep up with the masses of photos that aren't scrapped? Do you just burn them to CDs/DVDs and/or store them on your external hard drive. Do you think those photos will ever be seen down the road? Will you kids take the time to view them on the computer later on, in addition to all your scrapbooks? Any thoughts?
Thanks for everything you share! You are one of the highlights of each morning for me!
LOVE it, Ali! Just LOVE it! I'm doing the daily Thankful Facebook posts . . . and a Sunday Thankful Moment on my blog. I think remembering things like this help put everything into perspective. "Thanks" for sharing yours with us!
Being thankful every day is the best medicine available. I'm doing it on my Facebook all month. Thanks for sharing yourself personally with us, not just your art.
Hello Ali,
We've never met. My name is Danielle and I've been reading your blog for many years. I totally admire your projects btw! Currently I am taking the Yesterday/Today course at Big Picture and I purchased your kit of the month (everyday beauty) and I looooove the Celebrate Everday album you created for shutterfly...I guess I am wondering, have you ever considered putting together kits, much like the Creating Keepsakes Kit of the Month...and selling them on a massive scale? I love your ideas and I'm sure your kits would sell like hotcakes!!!
Just a thought.
