December Daily 2009 : Day Three
Tags:
Last year on Day Seven I used the envelope to write a note to Simon. It's definitely a tradition I want to continue from year to year.
Of course now I get to write two notes.
To Anna I wrote about it being her first Christmas and how excited we are to share our family traditions with her. To Simon I wrote about his current interests (legos) and how much we love him and love how excited he gets about the holidays. They are simple notes of love and affection.
Here's a look at the two letters:
SUPPLIES : pattern paper: Art Warehouse (from 2008); small file tabs: unknown;
Here's the before image:
DAY THREE : Red envelope from Paper Source. Red Circle Number from Every Jot & Tittle. Scalloped edge along the top of the envelope created with the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch.
This post is part of a series documenting the month of December 2009. You find out more information and view all the completed pages of my album here. Share your work in the Flickr gallery here.

I included an envelope too so that I can also start this tradition. I'm thinking of having my husband write a note to our son, also. Thanks for the inspiration :)

Thanks for sharing. You've inspired me to write notes to both of my sons. Even though they are teenagers I think it is important for them to read about my feelings of them during this holiday season.

I'm thinking those notes will be the "longest cherished" memories!

Awesome idea - love it!!! BTW what are you planning to do with the backsides of your photos of day 2? Are you going to leave them blank? Thanks again for so much wonderful inspiration here!

Definitely won't leave them blank - most likely I will just add some more photos from around the house.
