our favorite tradition is that every member of the family gets a new book to open on Christmas eve. It's always fun to see what is chosen for each of us, and always fun to negotiate who gets to choose - in our family of avid readers

My favorite Christmas tradition is the "Elf on the Shelf". We started it a couple of years ago with my son. He is now 7 and my daughter is 3. They both love to run downstairs to find Elfie the Elf. To find where he is hiding. It is a nice daily reminder to be good for Santa.

Once again you have outdone yourself on giveaways! There are so many traditions, but I think I love that we collect one ornament a year from somewhere special (and we collect one for each of our girls as well). Then every year it is so special to remember the story of each ornament and remember.

We have steak and baked potatoes after we put up the Christmas tree-my husband's idea. We got professional pictures taken for the first time since we were married almost 7 years ago and I never thought about getting a wrapped canvas, but I love the way the picture of you and baby Anna looks leaned against your mantle.

Great giveaways! One favorite tradition is the Torchlight Parade of skiers (complete with a visit from Santa and fireworks) that we watch at the base of the mountains of Colorado. All of us wear light up Rudolph noses and drink hot chocolate while watching the show by a huge bonfire. It has made for many wonderful memories over the years! Thanks for the opportunity to win!!

My favorite Christmas tradition is making a yummy breakfast for my family on Christmas morning, after we open presents and then spending part of the day watching Planet Earth together before we induldge in a homemade prime rib, Christmas dinner!

Decorating the Christmas tree has always been my favorite. As a child, my other favorite was singing in the choir for midnight Mass.

I would have to say my favorite tradition is spending time with family doing special holiday things. Just went to a holiday parade this week and it was so much fun!

I love our Christmas tradition when we spend Christmas at my parent's house. On Christmas Eve we go to church, come home and eat chili or clam chowder and other appetizers. Then my dad reads the Christmas story from the Bible. All the kids hand out the presents and then we open them. It is a wonderful night with family all together.

My favorite December tradition is Christmas eve at my parent's house. All my siblings and their families go. Santa comes during the night to deliver toys to the kid, lots of food, lots of fun!

my favorite december tradition is the santa photos at work. I get to dress up as an elf (YaY) but my favorite part is listening to the kids interact with santa. I love all the excitement!

Putting up our tree. We have an eclectic tree filled with ornaments that remind us of what the kids liked during the past year. We have Lego ornaments, ballet slippers, Dora, Thomas and Spongebob. It would never win any decorating contests but it's ours. Merry Christmas!

My favorite tradition is our Christmas Eve movie. Every year since I was 5, my parents always took my brother, sister and I to a movie. We try to see something Christmassy (I think I made up that word!). Now that I'm 26 and married, we still do it :)

Singing Christmas carols, I really LOVE it!

one evening every season, we put the kids in jammies and head out to our favorite home-style, comfort food restaurant. we let the kids order whatever they want (cookies for dinner anyone?) and once our bellies are full we get hot cocoa to go, snuggle the kids with blankets in their car seats, and drive around slowly marveling at Christmas decorations!
