My favorite holiday tradition is HOMEMADE GIFTS! My Brothers & Sisters and I have kept this tradition even though we're grown. Everyone makes something heartfelt eachyear for every family. Scarves, wall hangings, scrapbooks, chimes, ornaments, quilts... the talent is amazing and the gifts have turned into heirlooms.

I just love Christmas time! I love when we all hop in the car to drive around looking at the beautiful lights, and that we are able to listen to Christmas music!

I'm really enjoying doing an Advent Calendar with my daughter for the first time. She's one and a half and reminds me nearly every day as soon as we get home. She get's so excited and is constantly reminding my husband while they wait for me to arrive. (In fact, my husband just asked me yesterday if we could hide it so she will quit asking him before it's time.)

I love all the December traditions, I can't seem to pick just one...Riding around looking at the lights, putting up the tree, putting candy canes on the tree and eating the off by the time Christmas gets here, the nativity, visiting Santa, making sweet treats, ....Giving undies and socks for Christmas and just started giving everyone a pair of sleeping pants on Christmas eve and we take lots of pictures. The kids are loving this tradition. I love Christmas and all the happiness that surrounds it!

My favorite tradition is decorating our Christmas tree. We have one of those hodge-podge trees full of homemade ornaments. Some are from when my hubby and I were kids, and now there are new ornaments that our boys made. Love it!

I love looking at the 2 Christmas trees we have up in the house. Just turning them on in the mornings before all are awake, with my mug of coffee in hand. It's such a treat to see our sweet ornaments, the beautiful branches and tiny twinkling lights. Comfort mood.

My favorite December tradition is decorating with my kids. This year (they are almost 8 and almost 5) they did a lot themselves with my supervision-setting up nativities and hanging ornaments on the tree. My son was very good at making sure the tree was balanced out well with ornaments! It's so much fun to see their excitement and which things they cherish as well as passing along stories about my special ornaments as we are preparing our home for Christmas.
