My grandmother who always made her famous cornflake wreath cookies and can no longer do them, I took over the tradition a couple of years ago and I have actually been threatened by family members if I show up without them not to bother showing up at all. :). The story of my grandma comes up every year as we enjoy them.

My favorite tradition is that on Christmas eve my family does its own holiday dinner with good china and all! While I am cooking each year my kids add a hand-drawn picture to our xmas eve table cloth. After 27 years this is probably my most treasured holiday item! And the time we have together on xmas eve is special because the next day we do the whole extended family Christmas day meal.

Our family's favorite Christmas Tradition is on Christmas Eve when we play the game find the pickle in the christmas tree. I am in charge of the pickle prizes for the entire family. It is soooo much fun from age 5 to age 65 each person gets a special gift once they find the tiny 1" green pickle in the tree! love this tradition, we have been doing it for over 10 years now and it helps time pass on that very very long day waiting for Santa to arrive. My favorite tradition is to attend our church's candlelight service. It is a beautiful way for me to remember the true reason behind Christmas.

my favorite christmas tradition is getting our annual christmas ornaments. we get them from a sorta local (california) designer. this year i had to track her down and drive an hour and a half to a craft show to get them, but it was well worth it. mostly because, my mom, and my sisters go with me. we have been doing it for about 15 years, and i love it. we have so many stories to tell... all because of a little dough ornament. it is such a simple, yet amazing part of our christmas tradition.

My family's favorite December tradition is gathering by the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate and decorating the family room for Christmas while sharing stories about past years and memories with the new little ones in our lives and the ones that have left their mark. =) Awesome time...get so excited every year.

One of my favorite December traditions is putting lights up on the tree and around the house. Sometimes I keep the lights up through February because they make me so happy. Its a quick thing that makes such a difference.

Great giveaways as usual. My favorite tradition is reading the story of baby Jesus in the Bible. We have lots of family and we have never had the same Christmas schedule from year to year, but we always read the story as a family.

My favorite December tradition is seeing the Nutcracker ballet when it comes to town. I love the night out, the music, and the festive cheer associated with the event.

I LOVE all our Christmas traditions but especially driving around in our warm cozy mini-van, in our pajama's, eating popcorn and looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights and then coming home to our own cozy little house with candles in the windows and lights in the window boxes... magical! Celebrating the birth of Jesus is so important to us too... love to read the book "small one" to my boys.

Our family's favorite December tradition is decorating the house together. We spend an entire day as a family with no outside interruptions. It's really quite wonderful!

My favorite tradition is the search for the tree. We head out with friends to a tree farm not too far from our house. Always lots of fun.

My favorite is the Christmas Eve candlight service. No matter how crazy the season has been the lighting of the candles, singing carols and returning to the simple story of Christ's birth just fills me with peace and prepares me for a great Christmas Day.

My kids are young so we are just finding our own traditions but it seems like watching the Polar Express as a family and getting the Hallmark musical Christmas card in the mail from Grandma every year are at the top every year!

My favorite holiday tradition is going to church on Christmas Eve and then out for Chinese food afterwards. We have been doing it now since I was around seven or eight years old!

Ours is renting a limo and looking at Xmas lights! So much fun!
