Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word is SIMPLIFY and I started taking action on it yesterday. I have begun to clear out the old stuff in the house and really look at what I use and don't use. If it hasn't been touched in the past year, it's going. If I am keeping it, I am finding a way to make sure it is organized and easy to get to/use when I need it.

well, this year mine is not a single word but a phrase: "Create more art". i'm going to school for graphic arts and find little time to make something for myself. so this year, i will make more art! art for art's sake and not for my clients or for an assignment. and so far, i'm loving it! it's going very well. i'm using "create" in any and all the forms: writing a little paragraph about what i did today, a photograph, a sketch, finding something beautiful from another artist :-) artist are the best!

Enjoying reading people's "words" for the year, here and on the CK Facebook page! Still thinking of what mine might be, but am leaning toward "engage." Might also go with "mindful," following the same line of thought.
I have to say, I have been looking for 4x6 overlays for P365 and am SO happy you came out with these new ones! Can I put in a request? I would love (LOVE!) to have a 4x6 day-of-the-week overlay (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) with a very simple, clean line border, maybe 1/8 inch in from the edge. Like your monthly 12x12 overlays, but a straight line with rounded rectangle corners. I would make one myself if I could! But am just getting started with PSE (nevermind actual Photoshop) and...it's daunting. I just think that kind of overlay would look SO cool on each photo on a weekly layout.
Thanks for all your inspiration and beautiful designs!

My word of the year is JOY. And I'm focusing on finding the joy in everyday life. I'm incorporating it into my Project 365, in that the photos I take are going to be things that bring joy into my day.

Still working on my word, as a family we do have a resolution for this year and it is for all 3 of us to keep the house clean. In todays busy life the house work gets away from us so we are all pitching in this year.

I'm trying lots of things, not sure how to turn them into one word yet - simplify, be, health, happiness, in the moment, love, family. Maybe "nurture" would be good - nurture myself, my soul, my body, as well as my loved ones, every moment of every day. I think I've found my word of the year!!
Thanks, Ali!

You have such amazing giveaways! Thanks for the kindness of you and your sponsors!
My word is "Fruitful". Yesterday as I was putting away the last of our Christmas decorations I stumbles upon a storage box full of project ingredients. Things I had collected to make gifts and projects with. So I decided to be fruitful with my supplies and start making those projects or pass on the suppliies to someone who could make use of them. My first project is to make the word "Fruitful" out of altered wooden blocks. I want to put it on the shelf by my craft desk so i can be inspired by it. A reminder to keep that word close to my heart.

Mine is a phrase - Today Matters.
I want to cut down on procrastination, and, everyday, make my family my #1 priority. And I want to try to learn more in 2010 by reading everything - journals, poetry, child development, scripture...
Today Matters! I am writing this comment out and putting it up on my wall!!!!
