Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.

i haven't picked a word yet, but one resolution i have this year is to spend 15 minutes each day - cleaning up something - a kitchen cabinet, the dining room table, or putting away something in my messy office. i know that if i spend at least 15 minutes per day, i will make a dent.
thanks for the giveaways - happy new year!!

I'm not sure of my word, but am leaning towards BALANCE as cliche as it might be. Going to look at balance throughout, not just work/family, but time for being creative, time for exercising etc. Setting small mini-goals to help me be more conscious of my balance starting with setting aside specific time to create as it often gets shoved aside. Trying to meet a weekly time/frequency goal this week.

I think my word for the year has got to be CHANGE. I have allowed myself to slide into a laziness that just isn't me...my creative muse is suffering because of this, and I miss her...only way to get her back is change that must begin with me! *elaine*

I haven't completely decided on a word for the year yet, but I'm leaning towards "slowly." To take more time when making decisions, to act and react slowly, to slow down with my kids and enjoy the time instead of wishing it away.

My word for the year is RENEW. It applies to many aspects of my life and how I've let a lot of things go over the last few years. Essentially, or the gist of it, is I need to renew my commitment to LIVING my life rather than just EXISTING and SURVIVING. It seems a little sad but I think it can be a good process.

I'm going inbetween energy and intention. I want to be able to have more energy in my daily life with my family and with myself. I always say that I don't have the energy to care about x, y, or z, and I would really like to. I also want to be intentional with my relationships and with my daughter, instead of just going through the motions.

Honestly... I'm still trying to decide on a word. However, I have resolved to be happy. Life's too short to worry about the small stuff and my newborn daughter gives me reason enough to not be sad or mad.
Who can be upset when there are little cheeks to squish and toes to kiss?
Thanks for the chance to win!

Thanks for the great giveaways, Ali! Instead of words, i've adopted a litte motto that i take with me from year to year...
1. Be positive
2. Cherish life
3. Be healthy
I post it around the house and office as a reminder.
Thanks for all you do!

My word for 2010 is "action". I want to take action and restart some of the things that I never complete or don't want to begin because they would require a commitment to complete.

Not sure I have a word, though "story" would actually come close. I read Donald Miller's book several months ago and am simply trying to be more intentional in choosing this year. In making a list of simple goals and dreams for the year that will create a better story in my life.

My word is focus. This means right now I am putting a list together of my SMART goals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMART_criteria)for the year...and working on a reasonable action plan.
Happy New year!

My word for 2010 is "Truth". To see the truth of who and what I am. To keep a mirror up in front of my face and let myself see what is really there.
My goal is to make better choices for myself and my family based on the "truth" of our lives.
"...and the truth will set you free" John 8:32

My word is GROW. This year, I'm working on growing in every aspect of my life (jeans size excluded) and that includes my scrapbooking. At the outset of the year, I'm delving into techniques and products that I've never used before. As my inagural 2010 LO, I scrapbooked my OLW: Grow

Hello, Ali! Happy New Year. My 2010 word(s) are organize and simplify. To start, I have purchased several "getting organized" books and have already started the lessons. I also have spent a few minutes hear and there in December decluttering a few spaces that really needed it! Here's looking at 2010 for finally getting my life under control!
