Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word for the year is FEARLESS. The first thing I'm going to do is write a farewell letter to fear, like Pen has done here: http://the-penny-has-dropped.blogspot.com/2009/12/dear-fear.html

Ali,
You have really inspired me to focus more on the story of life. I am going to pick up the Storycatcher book and try to get down more stories from my grandparents before they aren't around anymore. Thank you for all of your inspiration.

My word for the year is "Persistence" This word covers the mentality I want to have in everything I do.
I want to be persistent in helping others, in getting those scrapping projects done, in working on improving my mental and physical help - and that is just a start.

My word is PRESENT. I find myself spending way to much time in my head and not enough time experiencing what is happening right in front of me.

Well, I chose the word ACTION. It came to me after reading your blog, you had so many good ideas, I found myself saying "great idea, I should do that..." over and over. Well, I am always full of great intentions, like so many busy people I suppose. I noticed you repeatedly have been using the word ACTION, and I had an ah-ha moment and realized I NEEDED that word in my life. No more talk - I needed action in my life. Whether big or small, action now takes place when I see a great idea, and I see tons each day that I tuck away "for another day" when I have time. Nu-uh. Now I take action on at least one thing each day. It could be as simple as a blog article I want to return to and read, or something cute I want to order online .... This year I am a woman of action and not just words :) So, I suppose you can say I won't have a single action, I will have 365. I can't wait to see what a productive year 20-10 will be. Today I purchased & organized digi stuff for project 365 which I always thought was cool, but of course never got around to doing. My theme will be a week overview, so I suppose you could say I am really doing project 52. Anyway .... thanks for asking! :) Hope you have an Action-ful day :)

Happy New Year!!! What a wonderful way to start off the year...My word is Freedom, and it has so many meanings for me...but right now today...I'm concentrating on FREEDOM from excess, so I'm yet cleaning out closets and preparing the donation pile...FREEDOM from unhealthy living...so my sons and our puppy spent the majority of the afternoon at the park and then instead of buying fast food for dinner, I prepared a nice, hearty soup! Yum..big for me since I really don't cook! So, I feel really good about my FREEDOM in 2010! Thanks so much for all the inspiration!

My word is WELLNESS. Working hard to get my diabetes under control, get my weight within reason and get my mind around the stuff that spins aimlessly within my head. With every step, I will work towards being well. Inside & Out. Looking forward to the journey.

My word for 2010 is complete. The meaning behind "complete" fits into so many different areas of my life. In relation to scrapbooking, it means that I am going to complete the miscellaneous projects that are stuck in various stages. I am infamous for starting a project, getting preoccupied with something else and leaving it.

wow - even the comments are inspiring!
I (think) my word will be capture... So often I take pictures, but the feelings that are behind the shots are often trapped and contained within me... I want my family to be able to look back and know what I was thinking when I was too proud of them for words, or observing them when they didn't know I was looking.

My word is POSITIVE. I'm trying to look at the "bright side" of everything, and not be so quick to see the negative.
