Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.

We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...

I (think) my word will be capture... So often I take pictures, but the feelings that are behind the shots are often trapped and contained within me... I want my family to be able to look back and know what I was thinking when I was too proud of them for words, or observing them when they didn't know I was looking.

I'm still torn... Not sure if I'll go with "Better" as in better wife, mother, friend, photographer; or with "Posibilities"... Ack! Both would be good for me just now, but I do realize I need to simplify and set my goal.
Thank you, Ali, for the fantastic giveaway and the great idea to do this!

After a move, major remodel and a death in the family this past 6 months, I think my word for this year is simplify. I'm going to clean out stuff so there is less to deal with so that I can focus more time on what's important in life, family and friends.

my word of the year is "presence," so I'm working on both my inner and outer selves- developing my inner self by getting back into creative writing and scrapbooking more, and improving my outer self by eating better and working out more! :)

I completed Christine Kane's worksheet to help finalize my word of "Courage" for 2010. I figured, turning 40 in the Fall might take some courage!

I've been hearing a lot about BALANCE here and there in forums lately. I had been thinking of how I needed to do more of this and less of that, blah, blah, blah. So when the word BALANCE came up, I thought it was the perfect word of how I was feeling about my life at the moment. So, I hope to work on BALANCE in 2010. Thanks so much for an opportunity to win. Happy New Year!

My word is FREEDOM...I want to be free from so many things this year, and also take time to enjoy the freedoms that I have such as the freedom to be creative, to go, see, and do so many things. But right now as of yesterday and today I'm focusing on becoming Free from excess, by cleaning out our closets and donating. Also focusing on freedom to be healthy by spending a several hours at the park with my boys and puppy today and then coming home to make a hearty, healthy soup for dinner! Thank you for being such an isnpiration and providing an outlet for so many people, and thank you for this amazing giveaway! Happy New Year!

I'm not sure of my word yet. I'm leaning towards CARE. To taking better care of myself and my family.

I'm working on continuing with exercising - I've started a new routine the last couple of months and am hoping to keep up with it. I'm probably not going to choose a word though, since it's not something I've kept up with the last 2 years of doing that. I get all excited to choose one, enjoying reading what others have picked, then after a couple of weeks, it slips away from me, as I find other things to get excited about! I'm also planning to continue working hard with my art biz, pushing myself to create more paintings this year than last, and especially FINISHING more paintings! Happy New Year!

My word for this year is peace. I want to bring more peace into my own life and find ways to share peace with others in my community and in my world. As a sort of humorous secondary resolution, since I've had five major surgeries in the last two years, both times beginning in April, here is my other resolution:
My resolution this year is that April will come and go and no physician will schedule me for any kind of surgery for any reason whatsoever. I would like April to become a lovely spring month again instead of a harbinger of hospitalization!

My word this year is CLOSER. Closer to my family, making changes in my career, closer to Christ, closer to being who I'm intended to be. One of the first things I've done to draw closer to a career change is go and meet the manager of a unit in my hospital where I'd like to work...we met and she knows I'm interested and ready to make a change. Doing this little thing so far has really solidified my intention, and it sure feels exciting.
