Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...
If you're feeling guilty for not being "caught up"...
If you're overloaded with creative pressure and unrealistic expectations...
If you're stressed because you don't have enough time to scrapbook...
If you don't know where to start...or worried if you can even keep up...
If you're frustrated with the process of traditional scrapbooking...
If you're looking for a better way...
Then you will love our simple and refreshing approach to scrapbooking!

Our Life Documented kit allows you to share your story in a whole new way, while getting back to the basics of what scrapbooking is all about...your photos and memories. We've done all the work for you with our exclusive Simple Stories system - with beautiful pre-designed elements that you simply trim, add your journaling and then insert into pockets - along with your 4x6 photos - for quick and easy scrapbooking. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!

My word is KINDNESS. Being kind to others and to myself. I am thinking about this a lot and noticed that I was happier with myself for not jumping to conclusions and being critical of my husband. Time to slow down and BE KIND!
You are so kind to share so much of yourself with us. Happy New Year Ali and family.

I haven't chosen my word yet--but I want to spend this year proactively working toward the things that I want, and not just let the busy-ness of life deter me! Stress and distractability are major issues of mine.

My first action is to renew my love of scrapbooking by getting back to basics... photos and stories... the action I am taking is joining up for Project 365... and following Simple Stories. Thank you for the eternal fountain of inspiration... and Happy 2010 to you and yours.

My word for this year is Live. Years of depression, grief and loss caused me to shrink and contract until I was barely hanging on. I started writing in the book Five by Compendium and every day I am going to do at least one action toward choosing Life again. Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration. Many days your blog offers hope in the darkness.

My word of the year is REST. I am going to make sure I get enough sleep, slow down when I need to and make time to just BREATHE. I am no longer going to feel guilty for just sitting and 'being'. Its not lazy, its life.

My word this year is ACCEPT. Accept the things that life is throwing my way and be OK with it. Accept that there are things that only I can change and things I cannot. While I accept, I must also remember to give.

I am still trying to come up with my word. This year I want to take better care of myself, for one, and my family as well. I think I finally realize it is indeed true that one must be cared for in order to care for others. I tend to care for my family far better than I do for myself. This year I want to put me first, and feel the trickle effect will mean my family will only benefit more from that.

My word for this year and maybe forever is "Believe". I have been collecting the word on ornaments and decorations for the last couple of months. I think you should believe every day, in yourself, your faith, your spouse, your family, your friends...or even Santa!!!

My word this year is purpose. I tend to be a big worry-wart about things I can't change, or that have little to no impact on me. This year I will ask myself, what is my purpose for... and go from there. Hopefully it will guide me.

My word is "together" and this year, my husband and I are going to cook (together) one 'new to us' recipe each week and document the journey. What we liked, what we didn't, etc. I thought it would be a great way to expand our culinary skills and get my husband into the journaling/story process of scrapbooking.

Hey Ali - my word this year...discover/find...not quite sure. After 10 years of being a stay at home mom, all my boys are going to be in school. My role/job is changing as my boys get older. Discovering what life will be like with no little ones at home during the day! :0) Love the simple stories kit!
Happy New Year!
