Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...
If you're feeling guilty for not being "caught up"...
If you're overloaded with creative pressure and unrealistic expectations...
If you're stressed because you don't have enough time to scrapbook...
If you don't know where to start...or worried if you can even keep up...
If you're frustrated with the process of traditional scrapbooking...
If you're looking for a better way...
Then you will love our simple and refreshing approach to scrapbooking!
MemoryWorks is beyond thrilled to introduce the new, exclusive Simple Stories scrapbook system. You can view our video here. Our Life Documented kit allows you to share your story in a whole new way, while getting back to the basics of what scrapbooking is all about...your photos and memories. We've done all the work for you with our exclusive Simple Stories system - with beautiful pre-designed elements that you simply trim, add your journaling and then insert into pockets - along with your 4x6 photos - for quick and easy scrapbooking. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!

My word for this year is read. I need to start reading again....books with pages I can feel. I've spent more time these past few years reading blogs and very little time reading books, so my goal is just an hour a week (or less than 10 minutes per day), in addtion to my daily devotional which I started doing 2 years ago when my word was new...starting new habits, which having my word in front of me (at my desk) helped (and helps!) me achieve. Happy New Year and thanks for all the inspiration! I would have never picked a "word" for the year for the past three years if I hadn't READ your blog!

change......the 'one little word' that will forever alter my life in 2010.
After 22 years in a loveless marriage, I am going to embrace change, embark on a new, scary, solitary journey and learn to treat myself in healthy, loving ways.
I know I can do this.....change.

I am venturing into the daily scrapbooking to try to really get my journaling going. I am not a big journaler and really want to work on telling what is happening in the story. I have 4 kids who are so funny- i do not want to lose any of it.

Fabuous layouts, Ali. What a way to start the year. My word for the year is patience so I will be trying to not let my teenager and tweenager push my buttons in 2010.

I never thought of it as a resolution but I guess it is...I plan on doing a photo a day this year to document my little family's life. I did a "52 weeks of someone I love" (my toddler) on Flickr this past year and loved it so I thought I would try to expand that this year. I think it will be fun for her - and my future children - to see what we were like in 2010.

My word will be HOME this year. I want to make it a real home, without all the unfinished parts and things that really need to be done. We keep putting it off, but this year it's all getting done: the bathroom (is falling to pieces), a new frontdoor and windows (the paint is all gone) and some smaller things. So my word is very practical, but 'home is where the heart is'!

My word is strong.
I'm going to be strong when I face my problems & be strong when I support my child face his.
I'm a new reader of your blog & I'm really looking forward to reading more in 2010.
Thank you for the inspiration.

My word of the year is {together}. Time {together} - spending time with family, old & new friends and with God. And GET it {together} - as in, my mind, my heart, my home, my craft, etc. And also KEEP it {together} - don't give up when I feel like I'm in over my head.
The plan is to stop trying to *create* moments but just relish in being {together}. And to take baby steps getting myself {together} again. First up: quiet time with God.

Ali--I, too, am using your word from last year. Most importantly, I need to nurture my self more this year--body and soul--and my relationship with my husband. Seems we always put these things on the back-burner to spend time supporting our aging parents and three young children. I need to worry less about the little things and nurture the souls of my family more. I need to also nurture the many talents and strengths of my fifth grade students. This is my third year choosing a word. I have truly felt an impact on my life!

Still working on my word - but the idea will be to not sweat the small stuff and get mired in it. I am going to try and come up with a reminder that I will see when I am feeling overwhelmed.

My word this year is "free" and my action to go with this, is to let go of the to-do lists every now and again.
