My favorite photo is of my grand-daughter that I just took of her at the zoo feeding a little monkey. Oh, it is so cute and she is just 20 months old, and the look on her face!!

My favourite picture is one that my husband took of the two of us on one of our picture taking trips. We are standing in a row of trees sharing a kiss, it has this pin-hole effect which is just so perfect. Makes me happy when I look at it, my husband is becoming such a great photographer!

My favourite photo is one of a dear friend on the isle of Iona in the Inner Hebrides off Scotland. He's a very good looking man (so the subject probably helped the quality of the photo), the shot was taken with my Pentax A3000 in 2005 at sunset - which was around 10:30PM.
Jeff is wearing a white cotton shirt, facing me but looking off to the left at the setting sun. The glow and light from the sun cast an orange glow on him. There is a lush green "mountain" with some rocky/craggy spots in the background - slightly out of focus, its called Dun I.
He has a "faraway" look in his eyes and his SLR camera in his hand. He is holding the camera in his left hand and his wedding ring absolutely glows.
This was the last trip I used a film camera, so I had no idea that everything had come together in that one shot until I had the film developed. I had a copy made and framed for his wife. When I gave it to her, I said "Your husband is hot!" She agreed. The picture is still on her desk at work.
This photo was appeared in the Washington Post in his eulogy and used for his Memorial Prayer Card this past Fall when he died from a short and cruel fight with gastric cancer.
It is still my favourite pic and I'm so honoured it is a lasting image that many people have of this wonderful man.

My current favorite photo is one of a bright yellow vintage truck advertising for a strawberry patch. I took it along a Highway 101 road trip, somewhere in Northern California. It reminds me of summer and sunny days spent lazily wandering open fields.

one of my fav photos is of me and my best friend when we are about 1, we are siting in car seats on a blanket in the middle of an empty beach with sand on our faces cause we'd been eating it. I love the back story of it that we are in car seat because we kept running away down the beach and wouldn't stay put...lol

My favourite Photo right now is one I took only recently. It is of my husband sitting at his computer with our puppy asleep in his lap. My husband works very hard and being at his computer is his way of relaxing each day. It is such a simple photo and it represents an everyday moment in our home that I treasure.

My favorite photo is of me and my husband when we were dating. I was living in London, UK and he came from Canada to visit me and take me home to move to Las Vegas! We were in front of big ben at night, there was lights streamed above us and it lit it like a professional shoot. We used my crappy little camera and on a self timer! What a lucky shot! Its still the best picture we've taken two years later.

My favourite photo is not really a photo at all... its the ultrasound image of my baby's heartbeat. The sad thing is that I miscarried just over a week later. But its proof that 'she' was alive and I was a mother for a little while.

My favourite photo right now is a beautiful black and white that I unearthed recently of a 2 year old me lying on my grandmothers back in the grass. We both have huge smiles. Even though it is 40 years old it feels timeless and evokes such adoring memories of my grandmother. I love that photography can stir the soul like that.
P.S That bag is to die for

Since I am currently in my second year of project (life) 365...I have lots of favorite pics right now...many I wouldn't have EVER taken had I not started this journey of "picture of the day"...anyway, today my favorite picture is of my daughter on her 30th birthday a couple of weeks ago. She looks so very happy and I know she is right now in her life. She has a husband that she loves dearly, family that supports her and loves her and so many friends who love to spend time with her whenever they can get together. Her birthday party was living proof of all of the above. Many people love their daughter, but not many can say how loved their daughter is! This picture was "POTD" on her party day!

It is of myself and my daughter. It is taken with natural light and it's not perfect. But, what makes it perfect in my eyes is that my Mom (82 years young) took it. She usually chops your head off with the lens or just gets the tippy top of it in the picture and always says she can't take pictures. I always knew she could do it and continue to put the camera in her hands every so often. And what do you know, SHE DID A GREAT JOB on this picture! I just love my Mom!

I have a picture of my kids that we took after stopping off by a painted brick wall where they are acting goofy. It's perfect picture of where we are right now.

My favorite is from a batch of photos I just got back from the summer of 2008. It's a shot of my son looking up toward the camera. The background is green grass and his blue eyes just sparkle!
