my favorite thing about school was buying new school supplies. At the end of the summer Mom and I would make a day of it. We'd go for lunch and shopping it was always so much fun!

Went to a small school. Mrs. Evans our pep club sponsor changed my
life. Loved basketball, rides to and from the games on the bus (so much fun, singing, being with friends), band and drama club.

Writing my name on all my new supplies and having that "off to a fresh clean start" feeling. I still Love everything paper - stationary, enclosure cards. And of course, shopping with my Mom. :)

Miss Robertson. She was the worlds greatest teacher. After a rocky start with the worlds scariest dinosaur of a teacher she was exactly what I needed. When I found out at 17 that I had got into Teacher's College she was the first one I told!

I loved the assemblies we got to do for our parents. I felt so proud entertaining our parents with our plays & songs. Looking back they probably just tolerated us :)

Even though I always enjoyed learning, the best part about school was getting ready for it...the shopping, the new clothes, the fresh supplies, the tidy backpack and the excitement to see all of my friends again!

I loved the library. It was my favority place to go from my first year of kindergarten and it was the last room I visited on my senior year! It's also the place I love to visit when I go to my daughters school. I love to help her look for a book to read!

I loved organizing my school supplies, reading all of the SRA books in class, trading stickers (gotta love the late 70s-early 80s!) and passing notes in class!
