I loved being in school, shopping for school supplies and seeing my friends. I still remember kindergarten and getting to nap with my letter person (D is for Donut) on my birthday, making pink frosting for vanilla wafers, sitting on my teacher's lap during storytime when I had a piece of candy stuck in my throat, and the key necklaces we wore to decide which station we were allowed to play in.

As a teacher, I love the fresh start the new year gives all the kids, the smell of new supplies, the joy of seeing old friends once again after a long summer's break... As a mom of five, I love not only the excitement on my little ones faces as they learn new things but also the dawning realization that my older ones are maturing into responsible knowledgeable young adults that someday will be the ones to inspire us instead of always the other way around.

One of the things I loved as a student, and now as a teacher, is the fresh start each September. It is always such a feeling of new opportunities and excitement to walk into a clean classroom with a backpack of new school supplies, feeling like anything can happen!

I am a teacher so what I love about school now is hearing all sorts of stories every day about the kids. No ones lives are exactly the same so it makes for an exciting work environment.

Love this giveaway - I am about to start a school scrapbook for my nephew and this would be so helpful! School was many years ago, but I remember loving the whole environment - the teachers, the way the building smelled (well, most of the time!), the feeling of "I get it!" when learning new things, and much more.

I loved my 5th grade teacher. She had us so organized and I remember turning a corner, so to speak, that year and went from a poor to average student to an over achiever! I owe it all to Mrs. Elliot!

I didn't love anything about school until I went to my technical high school. I was immersed in graphic art for 2 years solid and made awesome friends with my same mindset. ART!

I loved the library and all the books! I'd check out as many as possible and read them on the bus back and forth every day. In junior high I joined the junior librarians club - and would love to work in a library someday. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I loved the tradition our family had of always buying new outfits for the first day of school. There was so much excitement surrounding that first day; seeing how everyone changed from the previous year, getting together with old friends, and seeing who your teachers are going to be.

There's a certain smell of chalk dust and chocolate milk that still lingers in my old elementary school building.

I am a guilt-driven person. Unfortunately, my "hobbie" has turned into a constant curse and burden of where to begin, how to finish, if I ever will! When I saw your booth at the Scrapbook Expo in Sandy, I felt the guilt vanish and my new-found love for an old hobby was a refreshing energy!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! I always loved projects. Each kid made a notebook about our state in fourth grade and it took several weeks to complete it. Looking back, it could be considered a scrapboook...no wonder I loved working on it!
