I worked on a quilt top and finished some sewing projects that I haven't had time to do lately.

This weekend I am running 13.1 miles while pushing my toddler in a stroller! :) Should be a blast...actually I did that this morning and the first 7 miles were cool, and luckily it got warmer as the run went on and Ian got more curious and less frustrated.

This weekend has been a weekend of ZERO plans ... which I LOVE. The chance to just 'be' together, go with the flow, enjoy running fun errands, lounging, cooking and being outside these last days of our 'Indian summer.'

We went hiking at a local park to see the autumn leaves. Lovely! Baking apple pies and making sauce...lots of apples this year!

celebrating the 1st birthday of our niece to be.... Her adoption is not finalized quite yet and she will be 7,500 miles from her new family but we will celebrate her birthday in anticipation of her coming home.

I'm all done cleaning up the house, now I'm going to spend the rest of the day scrapbooking, my favourite activity (besides eating, that is!)

It is my youngest daughters 5th birthday today and we are celebrating by going to her favorite restaurant, Hogs Breath Cafe, for curly fries and cake!! Thank you for the chance to win, this would make an awesome December Daily album too. xox

I will be working on my daughter's Halloween costume with a friend.. Only my child would want to be something for which no commerical costumer is available.. Blessed be my friend who sews..

This weekend my husband and I are celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary by attending adoption classes. We don't have any children and are planning on adopting siblings from Ethiopia! So exciting!

We are at my in-laws with rolling hills of beautiful fall scenery and 11 acres to play on- a far cry from the overcrowded suburbs of Chicago we call home.

I really love her style !

This AM we took our daughter to ballet class (I just love watching a group of 3 & 4 years old practice, too cute). Then we went for a family hike this afternoon, it's a cold but beautiful fall day in the Northwest.

squash soup for dinner
scrap time on Sunday
errands and grocery shopping
Can't wait for next weekend! More of the same!
