I am cheering my hubs and his buddy compete in a half-Ironman triathlon this weekend.

i've already gotten a much-needed haircut, seen a movie with a friend + a fun lunch, coached the last swim meet of the season, and now i'm putting in some tunes and decorating for fall and then working on a birthday scrapbook for my mom.

So, I work on the actual weekend :o(, but during MY weekend (Tuesday thru Thursday), I'll be going with my son to his co-op preschool on Wednesday and then we have a MOPS meeting on Thursday at church. Spending time with him is the best!

We are going horseback riding and enjoying the beautiful weather we are having.

My husband and I took an overnight to Northern Michigan along the lake to enjoy the incredible fall foilage. I don't think it has ever been more beautiful than this year (although I think I say this every year). It reminds me of a favorite quote from John Calvin: Creation is the theater of God's glory."

We went to Estes Park in Colorado today for some family time and tomorrow I am off from work (I normally work Sun.-Wed.) so I am hoping very much to get started on a quilt for my nephew for Christmas and work on the billion or so birthday cards I need for November.
