December Daily 2010 | Keeping Your Eyes Open
Tags:I've been keeping my eyes open for little bits of this and that which can possibly be added to my album in December.
In the image above I've got a coffee cup cover from Starbucks (not sure the wording on there could be any more perfect) and the bottom tags are from an early gift I receive from a friend from West Elm. Not sure I'll use them but they sure look cool. I've got a little bag of these goodies on my desk just waiting to be used.
Here's a few other things on my list to share with you today:
There's so much visual inspiration out there this time of year. The catalogs are even more inspiring than usual - I've been pulling out pages to put in my holiday inspiration binder (great posts here from Molly and Marta on setting up your own).
Working on a tutorial post for working with the 6x8 digital layered templates - needing to pick up some ink today for my printer to get some samples ready to show. Hope to have that up this weekend or early next week.
A thought I shared on Facebook + Twitter this morning: Don't stress if you album feels "disjointed" right now. Your own photos and words will tie it all together.
I absolutely loved seeing all the links to your foundation albums! Thank you for sharing your creations. I can't wait to see those books filled with the images and stories of December.
There's definitely still time to put your own December Daily album together. Go here for more information.

Hoping to finish my foundation pages this weekend. LOve that Starbucks sleeve, too. I have a picture of it on my profile. Thanks for all of the inspiration and encouragement. Have a happy weekend!

Hi Ali! We were thinking on the same lines! I picked up my first holiday Starbucks coffee on Wednesday and knew I had to add this to my album. The most perfect addition to the stories we want to tell. I haven't finished my base pages yet, but hope to do so soon & post them in the Flickr pool. Have a great weekend! :)

This will be my first December Daily and it will be a big part of my travels as I go from Australia to London to Budapest to Bratislava to Prague and back to London.

I had the same thought already! I saved the Starbucks holder last week. I also ate at Panera bread tonight for dinner and their brown paper sacks say Cheer and Create New Traditions! I thought those were great so I saved them both.

oh thanks for the tip Jessica. And Panera is so close to me. . .I see a visit in my very near future.
Oh that sounds awesome - wish there was a Panera here in Eugene.

Starbucks Christmas theme is SO perfect this year. I have been saving up everything too. I am hoping to get my foundation pages done in the next few days. I have my annual Christmas Baking day with some girlfriends tomorrow. Yah! This is the start of the season for me and will find it was into my dec daily. So fun.

I'm using that coffee cozy on the card I make when I mail family heritage albums I made for my siblings! And yesterday @ starbucks I asked for a clean bag they put food in. . . .it has a cute reindeer on it!

I am new to this December Daily thing, maybe next year, however everything I read and see here is an inspiration. Right now I'm working on an anniversary mini-book for our 30th titled "because of the little things..." and have to have it done before the 29th of Nov. So that's my story for now.

Two years ago I used part of a bag from Trader Joe's (Ali used it too) and they have the same bag this year. It's brown paper bag colored with white Christmas words on it. So cute!

Ali, I just want to say THANK YOU for challenging me! I've been scrapbooking for 14 years and the last 4/5 yrs I've kinda laid it down and "packed it up". I just chose not to make time for it. But for some reason :) I got excited about this years December Daily project. I just couldn't stop looking at the pages and reading all the FAQs. So...I plunged in! I'm sitting here right now surrounded by stuff I haven't played with in YEARS and having SO. MUCH. FUN. I'm loving everything I'm making and I'm giddy with excitement!!! Thank you so much for bringing this part of my heart out again. May you be blessed this holiday season! :)

I was just waiting for you to comment on the Starbucks coffee sleeves. The first time I saw it I thought to myself," Let's see what ALi's going to do with that!"

I have to keep reminding myself not to keep "wishing" this last week (and then some) of November away ... I can't wait to start filling my book! I have all my digi template pages ready to go and I think I'm going to just print them each day (or every few days). Right now my book is just a bunch of plain cardstock waiting for some love ;-)
