My most favorite part of the holidays is sharing traditions with my children and husband. Mostly hanging out with my family but the traditions add that extra meaning to everything.

The best part of Christmas is the time I get to spend with my family. I have two weeks off of work during that time...it sure flies by, but I love every second of it!

Each year, including this one, I look forward to a slower daily schedule that allows for special events to take place and family traditions to be begun, nurtured, and continued. I am always looking for activities that are just for our family under this roof to make part of our holiday heritage. Very much looking forward to the advent calendar this year!

The holidays ahead will bring opportunities to see our son, his girl friend and her family--yipee! I am looking forward to the new adventure of traveling for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
An annual delight of the Christmas season will be once a again helping to coordinate a giving tree to support families with young children. The process brings together volunteers and families in the loving spirit of giving.
This will be my first year of doing December Daily and I am looking forward to recording the memories!

I think it will be an interesting holiday this year. We had to close our church after 124 years and now my family is exloring new churches and their familiar yet unique ways of celebrating the season.
