Three people will receive a word necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
Lisa's been a great supporter of One Little Word the past few years and came up with a really lovely design for this year's words. For 2011, "the word of the year necklace is a thick, narrow tag with a large ball, strung from sterling chain and finished with a freshwater pearl. we'll hand-stamp the tag with your very own word."
A simple necklace is a wonderful way to commemorate your one little word.

2010 marked my ability to stay home with our 3 children. I think this is the thing I am most grateful for. I can't imagine this year any other way; by staying home I have been able to have so many wonderful experiences with my children and husband that work would not have allowed.

2010: The Year my 25+ year career ended. With a lay off.
~~ ME??!!!
** Yes, YOU!
And I am so very grateful.
Job stress had led to time off on disability several years ago, and my fantastic, amazing, wow-they-PAY-me job was never again fantastic or amazing. The "decision" to quit was forced on me.
And I am so very grateful.
I walked out in May. My husband still works there. I drive by all the time - it's less than two miles from home. I haven't wanted to return once.
And I am so very grateful.
My body yearned for repair. My six months' severance pay allowed me to work with a nutritionist and a physical trainer. The signs of improvement are subtle on the outside though much larger on the inside.
And I am so very grateful.
My former employer provided several months' outplacement service. I know what I need to do to find a job. I have focused on my youngest sons' last year of high school; I have dreamed of finding a new career, a new exhilarating job.
And I am so very grateful.
My severance pay allowed us to continue living as we were, with small cutbacks. Christmas has always had a small budget.
And I am so very grateful.
Good bye 2010.
Hello 2011.
I need to ....
cut expenses more drastically.
define my income needs.
challenge myself to find that elusive job.
create the framework of life with an empty nest.
{{ too wordy; not concise enough }}
I need to ....
define my goals.
achieve my goals.
simply my life.
love this new stage of my life.
2010, I am very grateful for the challenges you brought me.
2011, I am looking forward to challenging myself to grow.
