Three people will receive a word necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
Lisa's been a great supporter of One Little Word the past few years and came up with a really lovely design for this year's words. For 2011, "the word of the year necklace is a thick, narrow tag with a large ball, strung from sterling chain and finished with a freshwater pearl. we'll hand-stamp the tag with your very own word."
A simple necklace is a wonderful way to commemorate your one little word.

Without a doubt, I am thankful for a life changing event that snapped me out of the mundane of everyday life and reminded me to start really living life again, on purpose!

I am so grateful that I changed jobs this spring and then because of my schedule change, my husband and I were able to have my three nieces and two nephews over this summer for visits. The time spent with these precious kids was a terrific blessing!

Hi Ali! I am grateful that my husband got laid off from his job last June. I know--strange thing to be grateful for...but now he is attending school full time, looking forward to a technical position in the future that he'll actually enjoy. Without that "push" he probably would have never made the decision to go back to school. Financially, times are tough for our small family, but I've learned to appreciate what we have, and find happiness in the small everyday moments. Which is why I love reading your blog, and participating in the One Little Word concept. Keep up the great work Ali, and thanks for a the opportunity to win that beautiful necklace :)

My beloved Nonno (grandfather) passed away a month and a half ago. He spent the last week of his life in Braeside Hospital (palliative care hospital) surrounded by his family. I'm grateful for being with him on the Saturday before his passing. It was the last time I saw him awake. I whispered secrets into his ear, laughed with him and watched him eat his last meal. I miss him terribly but am so grateful I was there at the hospital that day.

I'm grateful for a personal trial this year. It taught me what was really important ( family and friends) and what isn't (Stuff). It also opened me up creatively.

So incredibly grateful to be reunited with my husband. He got home from a year in Afghanistan on December 23rd, just in time for Christmas. One of the best moments of 2010.

I am grateful that we got to spend time with family in another country and that my daughters finally could see why I adore my Aunt so much. I'm doubly grateful that she (my fav aunt) has been given the 5 year all clear from Breast Cancer.

I am grateful for my family and surviving this year of 3 major tragedies. Never had to apply for family leave in the past 30 years of work for emergencies and had 3 different individuals involved in different emergencies. I am also thankful for finding your site today! I think a word chose me... it seems that the word balance which previously I disliked, because it seemed to be everyone's answer, now has personal meaning to be in various aspects of my life. I already had this on my mind, before I heard of people choosing a word for a day, month or year etc. I usually focus on calm, relaxed, centered etc,but balance is something I need to focus on now. thanks

wow, I was thinking about taking that class to go with your one little word class! :) I'm grateful - totally grateful - that my family was healthy in 2010. The older I get, the more it's the simple things which make my heart full - like good health. :)
