GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

Oh, I'd love to take Mary Ann's class!!
Spring cleaning means making a BIG to do list, making a schedule and just do it! Music and good smelling cleaners help the process a lot!
Thanks to you and Mary Ann!!!

my best tip for spring cleaning is to do it! (I did mine last week and I love that the house feels...lighter somehow) - I also highly recommend spring cleaning the closet and dresser. getting rid of winter in your wardrobe is wonderful!

best Spring cleaning tip is to start in one room and move to the next. That way, you feel like you have finished something completely and not only half way there or something. I usually start with the kids rooms and our room.

Get it done on a day that's still a little cold or rainy. The first nice days of spring it's hard to be inside cleaning thinking it could have been done during dirty snow season.

I don't think we're ever going to have spring, so I can't even think about spring cleaning. We've just gone from 3 days of temperatures in the 80's to a rainy Saturday in the 50's.

Okay spring cleaning is one of those things either your excited about or dreading. To me if I had my way my windows would look amazing all year long. I mix windshield washer fluid and dish soap together and my windows sparkle.

My favorite spring cleaning tip is to MINIMIZE!!! I just started this process today with the elimination of some of my kiddos toys. It's such a great feeling to clean out spaces!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I actually just did some cleaning yesterday in my boys room by pulling out there toy bins and throwing out all mismatched toys and asking them which favorite toys they'd like to keep. I make a pile of anything worth donating and the rest I throw away. Its amazing how much more room it makes for anything new they get. In general I go from one drawer at a time no matter the room and I LOVE the feeling of getting this accomplished!!
Thanks for the opportunity to do this class!!

when I get int the mood to clean...watch out! sadly, that mood does not strike very often. When it does, I am fond of the keep/donate/throw away method.

I would LOVE to take her class. One spring cleaning rule I go by is that there is no such thing as spring cleaning. In my experience seasonal cleaning is overwhelming , stressful and overly tedious. I prefer to clean, as I go, all year long. Every time I tend to one small task and in a year-span I tackle most areas of the house.

I tell myself I'll work for 10 minutes on some project and if I spend longer great but if I get bored I can go off and do something else.

I think spring is the perfect time to go through your cupboards and pull out the expired/half-used/really old/really odd items. When cupboards are crammed full, you'll never get through everything and you don't even know what's there. I only manage to do this about once a year - usually by that time I can finally admit I'll never use the miso that I tried in soup once or the cream of mushroom condensed soup that is too high in sodium to be worth it!

Declutter, so you don't have as much "stuff" to clean.

even exchange.... for every one thing I bring into the house, I donate/trash/sell one thing.

My best spring cleaning tip is to unpack your cupboards one by one and only put back what you've used or loved in the last six months. If it's something you've not seen or missed in the last six months, let it go...

I don't have any great tips. But, I might look forward to cleaning my windows once we actually have some sunshine!

Donating stuff we haven't used for a while makes me feel so much better and I seem to do quite a bit in spring. Also...I always like cleaning up the yard of all the weeds and overgrowth...makes me happy to see the clean yard!
