GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

Totally agree with the fresh air from open windows. And I always wash the curtains then. It feels good to know that the nice breeze isn't blowing dust from the curtains all over.

It's always important to me to do the "spring purge" Get rid of all those things you've collected over winter. The back end of my minivan is full right now of donations. The purge is like putting your house on a diet. It feels good!

Spring cleaning, what is that? I try to avoid it as much as possible!!!! My only tip is just get up and start, that is the hardest part for me. Once I am at it, I am fine.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Treat it like an adventure. I always discover things I have forgotten, including things I can use for crafts. Let the fresh air in and release the things you no longer need to others (donate) and let them enjoy.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

One drawer, one closet, one room at a time. I get overwhelmed if I start too big.

I just had three people join my household -- military family members from Japan. We're cleaning up the storage bedroom in my house to make a kid's bedroom. My daughter could use this class as a distraction from the craziness of her life right now.

I take it in 15 minute chunks when I feel overwhelmed. I can do one drawer or closet, etc. at a time and before I know it I've made significant progress.
Can't wait to take this class!

Even though here is no snowing during winter, I do have the spring cleaning tradition as well. I prefer to it from outside in, because when I get into the details I spend so much more time. And since I'm kind of "tire" when I have to clean the little stuff I get more courage to through out things. You know, I don't feel that sensitive on it and I can get rid of things.. does it make sense?
Ha! :)

This isn't really just for Spring Cleaninng - it's sort of an all year-round kind of thing. But what I do to keep my closet updated is make sure that all of my hangers are turned away from me (the hook facing the back of the closet) and whenever I hang something back that I've worn, I turn the hanger the opposite way sot hat the hook faces me. After 6 months or so, if any hangers are still facing the back of the closet, I haven't worn it so I can then donate that article of clothing! It's the best way I've found to know what I wear the most and what I don't!

One year, we sent our kids to a babysitter and my husband and I spent the day deep-cleaning. Behind the washer/dryer, stove, fridge, etc. Dusting the tops of picture frames, vaccuming under the couches and bookcases. Taking a toothbrush to the window sills, rinsing down the screens. Scrubbing forgotten little crevices. We worked about 11 hours with one small lunch break. Because it was the two of us working together, without kids, we had so much fun and a clean house besides!
Thanks for the opportunity for the class!

I love clean windows and last year treated ourselves to a professional window washer...it was a true gift since we have something like 39 windows in this house!

Spring Clean Tea Party :) Invite your friends, tempt them with good company and delicious treats from your kitchen (or the local bakery :))...many hands make light work! Tackle the room you would most benefit from being 'cleaned'.
As a group with the same aim you will fly through it in no time. Then you might find you're charged enough to get on to the next space and the next....

My tip is to put all of the cleaning materials into a big box and then carry it from room to room to get the job done in super quick time!

My favorite Spring cleaning tip is to get out and enjoy Spring. I always feel refreshed after spending time outside in the warming air. Then I'm energized to tackle any project.
Thanks for the chance to win :)

My favorite tip is to first declutter and purge. Have a giveaway pile, a garage sale/Goodwill pile, a trash and a keep pile. Only after you have decluttered can you really begin cleaning.

The more hands makes for quicker work. Get everyone involved including children. Happy Spring!

This sounds like an awesome class to take. So that I don't get overwhelmed and then quit I do one room at a time. I then divide the room into sections, then I make a list for each section of all the tasks I want to complete. While I am working in this room I like to have the windows open and the music playing.
Thanks for the chance to win.
