my tip is to do it all a step at a time. DOn't overwhelm yourself otherwise it is truly a chore. I start with my cupboards. This year I am going to use my mother-in-laws shark
steam cleaner for the plastic innards of my large lazy susan, watch out dirt and grime here I come!

My favorite spring cleaning tip is to use natural scented cleaners and to open the windows...even if it's only for 10 minutes at a time!

"The art of piles" has always been my strategy. Start in a space or a section and just make piles on where things need to go, after that is done, THEN put away.

The way I like to do spring cleaning is to take a week and take a room a day. That way no room or space gets overlooked.

Open the windows and front door and let the spring air in! This class might just be my new favorite tip - to help clean out my stash. Heaven knows my stash needs a good spring cleaning. Thanks for the chance.

I love hiring a maid service when I spring clean, just to do a serious deep clean once a year! I love how they come in and just make everything sparkle!

I have always wanted to sign up for MaryAnn's class. It in it's self is a bit of spring cleaning for all those scraps! My tip: tackle spring cleaning one drawer, one shelf, one corner at a time. It is not so overwhelming that way.

Spring cleaning means cleaning out all the closets throughout the house. My tip is to immediately put all donations into your car whether or not you plan on dropping them off that day. They are in your car when you are driving around and near that donation box, and you aren't tempted to pull things out!!!

I love having my 3 year old grandson helping me out with any cleaning. I give him a rag and a spray bottle of water and let him run free. Keeps him out of my hair when I am trying to sort, and the water doesn't harm too much!!! LOL!

Do one thing at a time. For example, work on your closets one day, then the garage the next day. If you try and take on too much at once it won't get done.

This year I have 2 kids under 2 and I am anxiously awaiting that spring cleaning bug...thanks of all the tips ladies! My tip is to do as much while your little ones are sleeping...yes, even if that means one o'clock in the morning!

My favorite tip is an old one. I work on one room a day. I make sure it's a nice day out because we remove everything from that room and set it in the back yard to air out. It's easier for me to start with a blank canvas. We wash walls, repaint them (early in the morning as it needs dry time and we don't want to leave the furniture outdoors overnight)...we clean windows with soap and water and repaint trim. We then steam clean or replace carpets. Move everything back in and we are good for another year. With the room completely empty it all goes pretty fast as we get all our supplies ahead of time. Kids go to grandmas the night before and my dh and I work from morning til night getting it done. We have 10 room house including the bathrooms. Both bathrooms we do in one day, and some take longer than others bit we are most often done by summer.

Well spring cleaning for me includes rotating food and going through my deep freezer and making a week or two's worth of menu's so we can do that rotating!

I break up spring cleaning into smaller tasks with one room/project at a time & then give myself something to look forward to do outside. The outside is likely another spring task but it is so nice to be outside it is fun!

I, too, wish I had a fabulous spring cleaning tip to make the job easier, but I would rather spend my time scrapping! I tend to hold on to things--which is why I would LOVE to win this class to use up some of my scrapbooking stash.
