Project Life | Weeks Eleven + Twelve
Welcome to Project Life | Weeks Eleven and Twelve.
I combining both these weeks into one post since they both include our spring break trip.
Here's a look at Week Eleven:
The first part of the week we were still here at home getting ready for our trip.
I included the interview page I did with Simon.
On the backside I included the "birth certificate" that Anna received when she went to Build-A-Bear. This was actually from this past week (I'm being flexible and filling in when I have a space available).
Page two begins photos from our trip to Charlotte.
Here's a look at the spread for Week Twelve:
During our trip I brought along a little envelope to hold ticket stubs, pieces of paper, etc that I knew I could use for this album when we came back home. That worked really well and made it so I didn't collect too many things.
Page one:
I included one insert this week to hold additional photos. This is another We Are Memory Keepers page protectors for 4x6 photos. I cut it in half to create a "half-page" and added a plastic label along the edge.
This is the backside of the insert.
It felt good to get this all in here - happy to have my camera battery charger back in my house. I'll post Week Thirteen tomorrow.

This is so awesome...I just can't tell you how I wish I would have known about something like this 15 years ago when my kids were small. I hope all the moms with small children following you are all inspired!

loved seeing your photos for the first week and from your vacation. I am looking forward to your post tomorrow with all your paper stuff in it for the week. I'm hoping mine will be filled enough, not much came in the mail or school last week but I'm going to try and use what I could. Going to do a little writing too.

Dear Ali, Thanks for showing us your version of PL. I was wondering if you journal about what/whom is in each photo. When I take my daily photo I use the little cards to remind myself why I took the picture or what is the story. This leaves little room for receipts, tickets, etc. Just wondering...
Hi - I don't journal about each photo. Sometimes I include stories from the week and bits of info on the journal cards - most of the time I do at least two or three. The other pockets include more "stuff" - some weeks there is more and others less. I'm also not doing the project as a daily photo project so sometimes the photos are from the same day/event/memory and one journal card includes the story for both.

As always, thanks so much for sharing! And while this has nothing to do with scrap booking...I love your hair! It looks so pretty and so much longer than before. :)

Your pages "sing," Ali. I love your work. You have a pleasing way of combining photos, scraps, and colors that go well together and look attractive.
Thanks for sharing. Your work is an inspiration to all of us!
God bless.

Love seeing your pages! I was wondering if you do anything to the receipts/ticket stubs before placing them in your album? Do you worry about fading or the ink disappearing?
Hi Mindy - I don't do anything with them. I haven't had anything disappear yet that on pages I have done in the past. If it's a concern you could always scan and print before adding it to an album.

Love seeing your Project Life develop week-to-week! Seeing the Build-a-Bear certificate is a great idea, reminded me of the ones we have hanging around from when our daughters were both ready to get rid of their soothers (ok, we were ready). We took them to Build-a-Bear where they took their "last" soo-soo and stuffed it into the foot of their bear. Both girls still have their bears since they represent a milestone, and they can feel their soother in the bear's foot. Bears with stories you might say . . .
Oh wow. What a wonderful thing to do. How did you come up with the idea?? I love love love the idea.
This one needs to be shared! Build a Bear could promote it as a service.
Did I mention I really like this idea??

Love those little tabs you stapled to some of your photos! Did you punch those or buy them somewhere? That photo of you and your sister is cool!
I cut them from the top of the journaling tags :).

I just love your PL posts. Serious inspiration! I'm looking forward to doing one as well even though it's already 4 months into the year:)
Btw...Prince!! Oh my gosh! That must've been so awesome! "When Doves Cry" is one of my most favorite songs.

As always, I'm blown away by looking at your pages...You are def, an inspiration for getting it done and done right! BTW, the best part of this post for me was seeing all the familiar stuff in your album. I live right outside of Charlotte and have visited Discovery Place and rode the light rail multiple times. ;)
