Sponsor Giveaways | Green Frog Studio, Up & Running, Claudine Hellmuth for Big Picture Classes

GIVEAWAY | Two people will each receive a spot in the Up & Running Summer 5K Beginners Course, which starts on 13 June.

Up & Running provides unique online running classes for women. If you've always thought running was reserved for sporty types with bouncing ponytails, we're here to help you discover that running is for everyone. Our 5K Beginners Course is not the usual boring "walk 5 mins, run 5 minutes" program. We offer expert coaching from renowned coach Julia Jones, unlimited support from our community forums, and a mind and body approach that has been tried and tested with thousands of women around the world. Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.

"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."
- Philippa, UK, Spring 5K course

My mom showed me how to be kind. She wasn't much on sayings, but she sure lived compassion.

My mom always tells me that your kids will never say "I wish Mom had spendt more time cleaning the house." But a lot of people wish their parents spent more time with them. So when I'm faced with the huge mountain of laundry, but my kids desperately want me to go on a bike ride with them, that makes the decision easier. The laundry, etc. will still be there anyway! Thanks for the chance to win!

My mom's had to do with the dinner table: you can always get more, but, you can't put back. Miss you mom!

I think my mom taught me self confidence and to not be afraid to be different from everyone else; in fact I think that was encouraged. And I am proud to see that I have passed that on to my own 2 children!

My mom used to always use the phrase, "Am I going to have to separate you two?" when my brother and I would fight as children. I realize now that it was her way of saying we needed to get along because we were all that each other had. I sure do miss you, Mom. This is the hardest holiday for me to get through, even though I am a mother, myself.

My mother told me to always wear my best stuff - not to save those outfits that I bought just for some special occasion.

My Mom taught me how to give to others; she was always helping others. She gave platelets to help save a young girls life. During a snow storm when the turnpike was closed she opened her doors to stranded travelers. We called her Clara Barton but her giving spirit was passed on to me.

Mother always said that kindness goes a long way in this world...that even in our worst days there is something to be thankful for, a smile to share, an encouraging word...

My mom always used to say "Can't can't do anything". It's kind of cheesy, but it taught me to never say I can't and figure out a way that I can, even if it's not the way I first thought or it takes a long time!

My mother once told me that I'd never have slender thighs. If I ran more would I be able to prove her wrong?

My Mom taught me to treat everyone with respect. When I am discouraged with someone I often think of my Mom and how she would handle the situation. She is always calm and seems to see the best in everyone.

My Mom always said, "You have to look at yourself in the mirror." It has helped me make choices for me and know ultimately I had to be happy with me.

My mom is the best and I really miss her since a) I live 7hrs away (and have since 1987) b) I have my own twin daughters now (9yo) c) she survived a massive heart attack 13 yrs ago and they still don't know how she's still with us!

My mom taught us to be kind and to think about other people. She also taught us to work hard...she put herself through nursing school, a BS and a MS degree. My mom always encouraged us to be the best we could be!

Thanks for the chance to win and
    Happy Mother's Day everyone!!

If I had followed my mom's advice of "If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all," my life would've been a lot smoother, especially in 7th grade! Thanks for the chance to win!

My Momma is always there to pick up my pieces and give me a hand up. Her Mom was the same way. Its a chain of unconditional love that I intend to pass on to my children.

My mom taught me that being spontaneous can be a good thing. I'm a planner, a list maker, a routine following kind of person. She on the other hand is a spur of the moment, we'll just figure it out as we go kind of person. She was flight attended and I'll never forget the morning we woke up and she asked if we wanted to go to see Niagara Falls. We hopped on a flight and spend the day in New York, what an adventure!
