Sponsor Giveaways | The Mother Load, Summer Card Camp 2011
GIVEAWAY |One person will receive a spot in Lain Ehmann's upcoming 13-week online class at Big Picture Classes: The Mother LOAD: A Scrapbook Marathon
SPECIAL OFFER | In addition to receive $20 off of The Mother LOAD use code: load2011
Are you a marathon scrapbooker? Do you want to be? As crazy as it may sound, scrapbookers have a lot in common with runners. Both can run into the same problems – lack of time, isolation, a routine that has become more of a drudgery than a help. The good news? You can easily overcome these obstacles.
No, Lain won’t make you run 26.2 miles in just a few hours – but she will challenge you to scrapbook 26 layouts in 26 days! Through The Mother LOAD - A Scrapbook Marathon, part of the 4Experts series for 2011, Lain will show you how committing to making scrapbooking a priority in your life will help you:
Scrapbook faster
Love your pages more
Actually USE your stash
Connect with what you love best about this hobby of ours
The first two months of class will be spent on “basic training” to increase your stamina, refine your process, and get you mentally and physically ready for the ultimate challenge: creating a layout a day for the first 26 days of September. After you cross the finish line, there will be time for reflection – and celebration!
For more information, and to register, please visit The Mother LOAD.

Wow, both classes sound pretty awesome. I could use a spot in that second one, as I've volunteered to do a program on card making for the branch of the library I work for, and I'm not really even much of a card maker!
What's inspired me lately? All of the budding beauty of the late spring garden. I could snap pictures outside all day and never tire of it!

I've been having my eye on BPS's The Mother Load class, but I've been trying to find the funds. The card class sounds like lots of fun too :)

I'm loving Pininterest at the moment... but that's just too broad!
My sons are graduating from high school next Thursday, and I've been making ribbon leis for them and their friends.
This page has gorgeous ribbon leis for sale - I am inspired by the colors and designs, though I am using black and deep yellow, and making leis for men, without flowers!

I love this post as I am getting inspired from everyone else's comments! I was inspired by my sister's blog http://loveyouforeverlikeyouforalways.blogspot.com/and a gift she did for her son's teachers and a post you did about recent inspirations and you included a link to here: http://laurakurz.typepad.com/photos/pages/she-is-your-grandmother.html
Love it! It is inspiring me to create a similar page for all of my 4 children and their grandparents. I especially love that it includes "fun facts" about grandma's and grandpa's that may never be included in another layout. Like how my mother-in-law "collects" pens or my mother LOVES to make lists.
I would love to do a "marathon". Thanks!

Hmm, what has been inspiring me the past week? I got a new book by Traci Bunkers called "Art Journaling Worskhop". I have been reading it and want to get to the prompts to try a few exercises. My Yahoo group for art journaling has also been an inspiration this week, looking at other people's arts and comments on techniques that work for them. Always learn something new!

I was inspired this week to downsize all my "stuff" after having my flooring redone. After moving everything out of the house, I am looking through the boxes before bringing it all back in! less will be better!

My youngest son just graduated from high school today and although bittersweet, one of the joys has been keeping scrapbooks for him for the past 18 years and then watching him look through them all today (he's seen them all along - I just added a lot of his high school year's pix this week). After seeing how much time he spent pouring over these pages, I'm inspired to keep going and work on those travel albums, random pages, etc that have been piling up. I would love to win a spot in Lain's class!
