Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

I have so many favorite holiday traditions but I guess if I had to pick one it would be all that we do on Christmas Eve. I make a really big meal and we sit around and watch A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, and Elf, in that order. I think my new one is also my Dec Daily, this is my 2nd year doing it and I love love love last year's and this year's is turning out even better. Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite holiday tradition is Mom, myself and my daugther (10) make Christmas cookies which we then give to every one of my daughters teachers, and other school workers she chooses (these are placed in hand made gift bags. The cookies also go to family, friends and neighbors though these are in tins or the new plastic version which are easier to.

Your layout is so cute! The wavy lines really look great pointed in the direction you used them in. my favorite family tradition for Christmas is to get everyone (even me!) new pajamas and we open them on Christmas Eve and wear them to bed that night.

Great photo layout and your sweet little girl's face just shines with the subtle zig zag background!!
Our Christmas traditions always start with buying a Christmas wreath for our front door on the day before Thanksgiving. The shop has an elegant Christmas display with gorgeous decorations you can buy. We have accumulated quite a lovely collection over the years :)

My favorite tradition: On Christmas morning the adults wait until after a breakfast feast to open their stockings together. Then spending the day enjoying the chocolates, books or other treasures inside. The stocking suspense makes me feel like a kid again!

Our favorite tradition is having my mom's cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. My son is adamant that I make them, so we always remember her that way! Love Hero Arts!

My newest tradition (started last year) is to do the book-a-day-before-Christmas idea. I loved your "advent" idea, so I am doing that this year! Thanks!

my fave tradition is letting the kids decorate the tree. we watch and take out the ornaments and wax nostalgically over them, and take pictures of the whole process, but the girls trim the tree entirely by themselves. it's fun to see the progression through the years, especially how high the ornaments go because the only hard and fast rule is no chairs/stools. you can only put ornaments as high as you can reach. it may sound like the tree looks odd, but every year i truly love the finished product.

The chevron patterns is so subtle with those light inks, I can see how versatile it would be with dark inks too. Oh and I see the lovely flourish stamp Tim introduced on his most recent tag! fab prizes. We eat Chinese at our fav restaurant on Christmas day with our grown kids and their spouses, never fail, and we're usually in a big round booth close and cozy reminiscing past funny memories.

Love the background on the layout -- great idea for that stamp! One of my favorite holiday traditions is baking. I love baking for my family and friends and using recipes that are special for Christmas. Such great memories are made each year and I love remembering special times from previous years as I mix and bake and package and share those treats with my loved ones.
