Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

My favorite holiday tradition is going to see the houses done up with all the Christmas lights. One particular neighborhood really goes all out with the decorations! We only started the tradition last year, when my daughter was 3 and we had such fun that I can't wait to do it again this year.

Christmas traditions have began to change as the kiddo's head off to college. We're excited about creating some new ones this year to move us into this next stage of our lives.

My favorite holiday tradition is when my sisters and I get together for our Christmas celebration. Their kids are all grown and have kids of their own so it is quite a group when we all get together! We spend and afternoon and into the evening eating, visiting and generally catching up with everyone. Then the little ones get packages to open!

Love how you used the Hero Arts on your page. Great ideas and also great giveaways. As a favourite holiday tradition we all love to get together at the beginning of December and set up our Christmas village. Pieces change over the years but we always have some favourites that need to be there.

Wow what a beautiful page layout. I so love the subtle colours and the pattern of the designed stamp you used. The embellishments are just the right touch, not overdone but enough to add the little something extra. Your subject in the photos is mighty cute too. Adorable. Thanks for sharing how you do a page using HA Stamps. Really inspiring.
My favorite Christmas tradition is putting up our tree. Ever since I was little and living at home, the tree was put up on my Birthday which is Dec. 16th and now that I am married and have a family, we do the same thing. My son looks forward to it so much. Thanks Ali for the chance to win and for the inspiration. Merry Christmas.

I love the stamps - so much fun to choose from.
My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas Eve candlelighting service at my church. Beautiful music by our choir and musicians, everyone (including children) gets to light a candle and say a prayer and place it in the big pans up front. At the end of the service, all the lights are out and we are basking in the candlelight and music and prayers. My heart is open and I say my One Little Word for the next year. A lovely tradition that I started after joining Ali's OLW concept 2 years ago. It seals it in my heart for the next year's experiences.
Thank you Ali for introducing me to OLW and my personal tradition to usher in the New Year.

My favorite tradition is to use the last of the cut out cookie do to make each kids hands cut out. Every year then they decorate their hand however they want and eat it that night. I love how you rotated the stamp to make it look almost like a quilt - can you tell I am a quilter?!?

Love how you used the background stamp - and Anna is getting cutter everyday. Tradition - well since my boys were born - and they are now 30 and 32 - I have them put on a special santa hat - and take their picture in front of our tree. Nice to look back over those pics from year to year.
