IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE, WELCOME! If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.
Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

My favorite holiday tradition is putting out my ceramic bisque Christmas village I painted myself. It isn't Christmas until the village is out!

I have been buing a special ornament for each of my kids since they were born. I don't hang these ornaments on the tree. Instead, they are tucked away in a box with a note on each one telling them why this ornament was special for that particular year. I will give each of my kids there box of ornaments when they move out and put up there own tree!

My favorite holiday tradition is making Christmas ornaments with my 3 children. I cherish them the most. When we decorate the tree, we pull out their special ornaments and talk about what they were like at that age.

Great layout! My favorite holiday tradition is getting togethet with my entire family on Christmas Day. I'm the oldest of 9 children, all with grown families of their own. In fact my newest great nephew was born last week. He's my family's present this year.

Your layout is adorable. Love they way you used the zigzag background. I didn't think zigzag could look so good & you proved me wrong. Looks great!
Favorite tradition is after the tree is decorated & we all peacefully admire the lights & decorations. I enjoy having the family together. It's nice to see simple holiday enjoyment for a little bit vs. the craziness of the hustle & bustle of the season.

My favorite holiday tradition is something I do with my kindergarten students. Every year, instead of the usual holiday party we invite the class next door to visit. We all watch Polar Express and sip hot chocolate with marshmallows. Instead of giving the kidlets lots of sweets, I bake large pine tree shaped sugar cookies which each child then decorates with M&Ms, sprinkles, and crushed candy canes. The cookies are then wrapped to leave for Santa Claus.
