My word caught me, or should I say CAPTURED me and won't let me go! It fits in with my desire to capture better quality photographs and capture better use of words in the writing I do. (and it will even help me capture and reduce clutter on my desk at work.)

My word is build. I just kept coming back to it. We are literally working on plans to build a new house this year but it also emcompasses a lot of other things I want in 2013...build stronger relationships with my friends, strengthen my family unit, build upon my knowledge and continue to push myself to learn new things, create new projects from ideas I find and create, build a stronger body for myself and a stronger inside as well.

I'm just now getting around to participating in your OLW 2013. This year I have chosen the word "smile". I use that word at the end of my blog every time I post. Sadly, I have been guilty of not smiling as often as I should have. So Smile is my word and I intend doing so every day and ofen. :) Thank you Ali for hosting your OLW every year.

This is my first year participating in OLW, and I have chosen the word
CHALLENGE
I will be challenging myself, as well as facing new challenges (both known, and unknown) over the next year, so I thought it was fitting. Since signing up a few weeks ago for the class other words have floated by as possibilities, but none sticks out so strongly as this one. So I am going with it!! The word gods have spoken! :)

My word is "Progress" it came to me just today as I had a totally different word picked out and ready to go, then suddenly "progress" hit me like a ton of bricks. You see, last February I had weight loss surgery and while I've done well I haven't seen the progress I'd like to have seen, so this year I'm ready to really make it happen. Progress in my health, my mental image, my self esteem, my life. Thank you for the inspiration Ali.
