I am so sorry Ali! I have tears reading this post as I too lost my best friend a month before she turned 18! She was a lab, border collie, springer spaniel cross named Brittany.
It was very hard. I totally know what you're going through!

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our black lab Tasha went peacefully in our arms on Thursday so I feel your pain. She was 16 and again a family member, friend, confidante and hunting partner for my husband. My three girls (22,16,7) are devastated even though we know that she had a great long life. Sending hugs to all of you.

So sad to hear this. I'm sure you've seen that email about a kid explaining why dogs don't live as long as humans---dogs are so good at their "job" on Earth, that they don't have to stay here as long to get it done as humans do. We've had three wonderful Labs and I still miss them all.

So sorry you and your family lost Lily. Awesome, what a wonderful, loving companion she has been to all of you. I am thinking it would be a joy to do a mini album about her with thoughts and pictures of her!!!

So sorry your Lily has passed on. Hoping and praying for you and your family. It has been 4 years since we had to say goodbye to our girl. It is not easy. I think the quiet of the house was the hardest for me. Hoping you will be okay....knowing oyu will but it will take time.
